Mario Lopez Santos was born in Aranda de Duero (Burgos) 14-7-73.
He begins his musical studies at the age of 9 and realizes the Average Degree in the Professional Conservatoire of Valladolid, under the guardianship of the teachers Mariví Renedo and Paul Dolan.
In 1992 he moves to Madrid, where he receives classes of the renowned teacher Manuel Carra.
In 1993 he joins the Royal Top Conservatoire of Music of Madrid, Julián Lopez Gimeno’s Chair, after achieving one of 26 vacant squares between more than 250 aspirants.
In 1998 he obtains the Top Title of Piano, with the qualification of Distinction and obtains, in addition, Honor’s Matriculation in the subjects of History of the Art and Aesthetics of the Music. Also he realizes studies of Dispute and Escape with the professors Daniel Vega and Mercedes Padilla.
Until the year 1999 he alternates recitals of classic music with others of style “New Age”. In this field he completes his own stages of formation and investigation with diverse courses on technology and pianistic pedagogy, as well as others based specifically in the analysis and development compositivo. The height of his diverse teachers, of the highest international level, it is well-known: Sergei Yerokin, Jan Wijn, Luca Chiantore, Dimitri Bashkirov …
From 12 years he takes part in numerous and celebrated concerts in Aranda de Duero, Valladolid, Burgos, Seville, Bilbao, Segovia, Palencia, León, Madrid …

In the year 1991 a friend gives him the CD “December”, of George Winston, and discovers something that already was walking searching: a style in which the classic thing and the modern thing had his point of meeting.
He investigates, studies and is present at courses on technologies compositivas contemporary, directed by teachers of renown since Honor Böhmer or Heinz-Klaus Metzger, where he discovers John Cage or Steve Reich, as well as to the Spanish analysts of musical ancient Fernando Palacios and Polo Vallejo.
He begins then a labor of diffusion of this type of musical in several recitals showing works of George Winston to his spectators, Brad Mehldau, Suzanne Ciani, Wim Mertens, Michael Nyman or Philip Aaberg.
In 1996 he takes part in the ” First Festival of New Musical “, organized in Burgos for the association “En Clave de Música”, close to musicians as Luis Paniagua or Javier Paxariño.
For several years there is selected by the Meeting of Castilla y León, in the paragraph “Jóvenes en Concierto “, which leads him to crossing great part of the geography of this Community and where he starts announcing some of his first compositions, with great acceptance on the part of the public and splendid critiques.
In the year 2001 he realizes, together with the violinist Íñigo Velaz, the sonorous original band of the short “Papeles”, writing and directed by Jesus Gallo.
The year 2004 sees reached one of his dreams, the publication of his first disc, “Periplos”.
In 2006 he composes, for order, the music for a play: “Los Náufragos”, written by Mónica Sagrera and directed by Jesus Gallo, the live music managing to be interpreted in someone of the representations.
At present he arranges his labor as teacher of music of ESO, in the College La Salle - Sagrado Corazón, of Madrid, with his facet of interpreter and composer.
