Jamie Brabham is a native of Savannah, Georgia and was reared just across the state line in Hardeeville, South Carolina where his roots ran deep. As a young boy, he picked his guitar and sang his Christian and country music at churches, festivals and anywhere else he could. He gave up college and spent most of 1997 traveling from Jacksonville, Florida up the eastern coastline on a Wal-Mart tour.
Jamie dreamed of moving to Nashville, to the place that most country artists feel a kinship to, the place where his heroes like Randy Travis and Alan Jackson got their start. He knew that starting over in a new town was not going to be easy and he did not want to take college loans and car payments along with him. He thought that the easiest way to make the money that he needed in a short period of time would be driving a truck over the road. In 1998 Jamie attended a driver training school and in a short time was on his way, traveling alone in a big rig across the country. What an experience this was for Jamie! During this time his song writing abilities surfaced. He met many different kinds of people and went to many different places. These experiences provided the fodder from which many of his songs were formed - all songs with a different story attached. He paid off his debts and in 2000, headed to Nashville. His plan had worked.
Once in Nashville, Jamie obtained a job driving locally. He is still employed there. He has returned to college and is working on his Bachelors degree in business administration. His greatest desire is that some day he can manage his own business while he continues to write, play and sing his music. His love for country music will never die.
Jamie continues to perform in local clubs and restaurants. He has had the privilege of singing and performing in Tootsies and Rippy''s in Nashville and various other venues and plans to continue singing wherever the doors are opened. Jamie enjoys singing in churches as well. He continues to write Christian and country music, knowing that they are intertwined. He writes and performs songs that do not compromise his Christian values.
His writing abilities continue to improve, as evidenced on his newly released album, Lovin'' You. Jamie has written and recorded a collection of songs about love or the loss of love. Some he wrote from experience, and others through listening to others'' experiences. He wrote eleven of the fourteen songs on this album. Lovin'' You shows Jamie''s talent not only as a singer-songwriter, but also as a producer. Countless hours have gone into the making of this album and with the hope of many more to come.
The future knows no end for song writing and performing, even as a music artist ages. You may not hear them played on many radio stations or national television, but you can be sure that they are still out there performing every day and singing to the many fans that love and support them all around the world.
