Details:
From a small community in the Southern United States of America, nestled within the heart of Polk County, Florida, is a town too small for even a traffic light. The town is named Alturas. "Winding and turning through the woods and marshlands of Alturas, runs a small but thriving little creek or branch, named the Boggy Branch." That is where the band gets it''s name.

The band members all reside within a stone''s throw from the scenic-historic banks of the Boggy Branch, which is comically referred to being located just north of Beer Can Hill and just south of Starvation Ridge.

For many years, the originator of this band (Henry Brewer) donned an acoustic guitar with family and friends, around campfires strumming the nights away. Aspiring of being more than amateur musicians, together with his sons Hank and Mac, they organized a family band and have performed at various venues. Early in the year 1998, this family of performers made a decision to pursue a career in the entertainment business and established the "Boggy Branch Band."

With their combined vocal and musical talents, few groups possess the charisma and energy that radiate from their performances. The band has performed across the Southern United States including Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and their home state of Florida. They have entertained thousands of eager listeners along the way. From large venues and clubs to honky-tonks and taverns, this band is dedicated to satisfying their audiences with their unique style of entertainment no matter where or who it is in front of.

Togetherness is a greater part of the dedication that sets this band apart. With many days and evenings spent entertaining neighbors, friends, family members, and fellow entertainers alike, the Boggy Branch Band is always ready and prepared to take their show to higher plateau.

Henry L. Brewer | Vocals & Bass Guitar
From the meekest of beginnings in a log cabin just outside of Quitman, Mississippi, Henry was the last of a family of Henrys to be born on the farm. He grew up in a time where everyone worked long, slept hard, and enjoyed the simple life at home. His favorite childhood toy was an old Ford hubcap that he used as a steering wheel while running around the yard pretending to be a racecar driver. After many years of dreaming of being a star, he is finally realizing a dream that few musicians even think about. That dream is performing on stage with his sons. His musical beginnings were on a 6-string Acoustic and he later moved on to play Bass Guitar. He sings much of the more traditional standards that the band performs with a commanding swagger.

Henry L. (hank) Brewer II | Vocals & Drums
Staying true to a tradition that is rooted eight generations deep, of naming the first born son of each generation after the first Henry of the family, Hank was born in the tradition of his names sake. Although tradition was honored, it was apparently too much for his parents and so he received the nickname Hank. Starting at the young age of two, his first instrument was a set of toy drums given to him on a brisk Christmas morning. His father set him in front of the stereo and played all sorts of music ranging from Jim Reeves to Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty to Loretta Lynn, while encouraging him to play along. Most of his young years have been spent toying with various musical instruments, but one has remained his favorite, the drums. When not singing backup vocals behind his dad and brother, he belts out his vocal selections from behind the skins with power and grace.

Mac Brewer | Vocals & Lead / Rhythm Guitar
Being the second addition to the family, you might have wondered why his parents didn''t have a third. Well, when you see this young performer run, jump, and bounce across the stage you would understand that he must have worn his parents out. Born into a family that fearlessly approached music, Mac has developed his natural talents and has become the focal point of the threesome. From behind his brother''s drums, he started tapping the cymbals and drums, and then moved on to take music classes in school. Throughout his many years of music classes, he became an accomplished musician while developing his talents and skills, learning to play a variety of instruments, and may perhaps be the most versatile musician in the band. While fronting the band, Mac''s vocal presentation plays an equal role with his Rhythm and Lead Guitar talents as he rambles across the stage and out among the audience.

Performance Synopsis
Experiences combined, the band has played a vast array of venues and has performed in front of many artists and have backed up a number of artists as well. From opening shows in front of The Charlie Daniels Band to performing at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pre-Game Shows, and from backing Jeannie Seely to Ferlin Husky, this band has collectively performed time and time, over and over again, while paying their dues on the road.

The Boggy Branch Band is an energy packed group that will definitely bring any audience to their feet, be it in the form of dancing or in reverence of a well performed song.

“ The best damn honky-tonk band I have ever heard ”
