Teen Idols
The Teen Idol Program is a life resource for young people, dealing with making correct choices, avoiding the pitfalls and temptations of youth, dealing with teen issues, and male/female realities. This, is not the type of seminar and guidebook you may think it is. Dr. Jay is not about to point his finger, or rage accusations, about some of the poor choices young people are making today. It serves no purpose to tell young people that they are screwing up their lives. They already know when they are doing something wrong. When Dr. Jay was a teenager, he remembers how he felt when he was, called on the carpet, to stand accountable for his behavior and actions. He was too young to know, back then, that he could not make good choices if no one taught him how to do it. It is human nature to go the other way, unless young people are taught, which way is the right way. We call these social skills, in psychology. In addition, we are all a product of certain belief systems and ideals, which are most often completely incompatible with the real world. In short, we are the sum total of our experiences. Today, young people are easily influenced by: television, peer pressure at school, and identity issues, for example. To be blunt, this seminar and guidebook is all about, young people; how to survive past their education of empirical knowledge.
