The Mike Blackmore Project has been performing since January 2001 . We are all "Baby Boomers" who have had enough of the predictable "Bar Band" scenario and now have the opportunity to make music using all of our distinct personalities and influences. As bandleader, songwriter, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, I am always amazed at how we have come together and put all of our musical stylings and backrounds into one, as yet, undefined genre. Gary Boudreau on percussion brings years of experience to the group and that personal rhythm all his own. Rick Wilson is the quintessential inventive bass guitarist. Together with Gary Boudreau their groove is a amazing combination. Mike Murphy has a jazz backround in the New Orleans style, on clarinet and saxophone he can take us from Mardi Gras to a smoky barroom. Bruce Dean, "The Doctor", has joined us on lead guitar adding another dimension to our style. With an IQ of at least 6000, his ability to "do the math" while inventing new guitar licks is amazing to see and hear. This is the third CD released, all have been recorded live on stage in an attempt to capture the "Magic" that takes over our spirits and guides the music. ............ Mike Blackmore
