Blayze, Brandon Floyd, has developed into an all around entertainer- willing to give his audience 110%. He was born 19 years ago in Hamilton, Ohio into a family dealing with serious issues, brought on by unexpected medical bills and parental incarceration. To combat this, Blayze would try to lift the spirits of the family by entertaining them. This built his interest in dancing.
He later began dancing with a partner, Chase, and formed the duo ''Devious Mindz''. The two danced behind local hip-hop artists and developed a following. They caught the eye of local producer Diamondkutz and soon began dropping verses to go with their mesmerizing moves. They produced an EP and were featured on both Beneath the Surface Compilations.
As Chase decided to follow his own course, Blayze continued down the path of entertainment. With assistance from his managers, he began freestyling in local contests around the Cincinnati area, and to the amazement of all- winning over urban crowds. During this time he was invited to New York City to appear in MTV''s 1st Freestyle Battle competition. This lead to a contest that he won which allowed him to battle during the Cincinnati stop of Jay-Z''s Roc the Mic Tour in July of 2003. He won this battle and was crowned the Cincinnati champ.
Blayze continues to record and perform nationally along with other artists on the Thin Ice roster. Many cannot decide whether his dancing or rapping is more exciting. All agree that Blayze is a marketable talent, an anomaly that someone will soon introduce to the world.
