Details:
I am known for my many talents and my creative mind. Coming from Oakland isn’t nearly as bad as people believe it to be, but being a young black male, has its downsides. Living in the poor parts of West Oakland made me who I am now because I had no choice but to acknowledge my place in life. I had no college fund, no hidden bank roll. All I had was my music and writing skills; my quick thinking and power to reason. Financial dilemma showed me that I was the only key in my family’s life who would bring forward great wealth and veneration.

Before the age of nine I lived a normal kid''s life. In the morning I would eat my breakfast, go to school, do my homework, watch television, go to bed, and continue my routine the next morning. I lived with my mother and my step-father for the majority of my life, but being that I was a lot like my father, something was always missing. Though I talk to my father every now and then, we’ll never gain that father son relationship he always speak of- especially since he’s doing life in prison. I’m appreciative for having my step-father along, making life less stressful for my mother.

Three weeks before my ninth birthday, my grandmother passed away. That event was a major turn-around in my life because she and younger cousin Chris were the only two people I could share my emotions with. Also around that time I realized I never actually believed in god. I just grew accustomed to believing in religions because I knew nothing else. With no god or guidance in my life, I was born.

It wasn’t until the seventh grade that I noticed I had talent. I always liked reading poems, but I never found the time to write one. I noticed that rap was a form of poetry. In the eighth grade I formed a rap group consisting of two of my closest friends (Jeremy a.k.a. Rode Runna, and Edward Ezeb), and my cousin (Chris Nunn a.k.a. B. Stupid). Rapping was one of my hidden treasures because I had the gift of expressing myself in the form of poetry.

This solo album is just the 1st chapter of my life. It consists of my emotions and a little of the life that surrounds me. I hope you all enjoy this record and I look forward to giving you more of me in the future.
