Big Toe Band Bio:
=================
Willingboro, NJ, March 10, 2003 - Six by Twelve Productions announced the formation of Big Toe, a six-piece musical collaboration that blends the sounds of pop, rock and soul with a powerful Christian message.
"It''s a unique sound," said Pastor Ron King of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. "Definitely an uplifting message, but modern and explosive."
Big Toe is the brainchild of Neal Stephens and Josh Walker. The two have known each other since Walker was age twelve and joined a youth group headed by Stephens. They established an instant connection through music. Big Toe''s big sound transcends mainstream Christian music and brings an entirely new dimension to the genre. This infusion can be felt most during a live performance when the band''s musical passion, experience and dedication mesh to create a spiritually moving experience.
"Josh and I are a generation apart and that''s what makes the thing work," said Stephens. "It''s a cohesion of multiple styles that takes from modern rock and old school." Long-time friends and Big Toe members Frank Lihotz (Guitar), Richard Broxie (Bass), Tim Stehm (Drums)and Tommy D''Anastasio (Keyboards) contribute significantly to the sound and message.
"It''s all about good friendship, good times and spreading the good word," said Walker.

How did you get the name ... BIG TOE Band?
==========================================
The name Big Toe is taken from Exodus 29 which discusses the outward methods of conseacrating the priests as told by God to Moses. Of course the outward acts were meant to symbolize the inner conseacration for the Lord''s work. The chapter starts out "This is what you are to do to conseacrate them, so they may serve me as priests. (Exodus 29: V1). Later in the chapter it picks up in V20 "Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumb of their right hands and the BIG TOES of their right feet." Then it goes on to say take some of the blood from the altar and the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his sons and their garments. After that is done, Aaron and his sons will be conseacrated.

Anointing the right ear was meant to symbolize the need for sensitivity to the Word of God. The references to the right thumbs and BIG TOES of their right feet were meant to symbolize their service to the Lord''s work. Notice the ram had to slaughtered first or the reoccurring theme of the shedding of blood for the remission of sin. The process of conseacration comes a high cost as the blood of the ram has to be spilled. How grateful we are to our Lord Jesus Christ that he voluntarily shed his blood for the remission of our sins to allow us to regain relationship with the Father for eternity!!! We chose the name Big Toe because just as Araon and his son''s were consearcated to do ministry, we as follower''s of Christ have been consecrated to minister in music.
