Details:
Bizzy Bender
[with a name like that, how can you not read this?!]
Contemporary Christian
Singer/Songwriter

Bizzy began her singing career at the tender age of five singing Christmas carols in a restaurant in her home town of Manhasset, New York. She first picked up the guitar when she was 11 and there has been no stopping her since. Over the years, Bizzy found herself experimenting with many styles of music from folk to disco and these forays into different genres helped her to develop her deeply textured style that is apparent in her music today.
After turning her life and will over to the care of God in 1989, her music took a new turn in the same direction Not surprisingly, her songs of broken dreams and broken hearts turned to songs that speak of God''s awesome power to change any life and His incredible patience and love for all his children.
She has a rich, powerful, voice that is likened to many artists, from Joni Mitchell to Sheryl Crow, only "anointed by the Holy Spirit" according to Father Christopher Leighton of St. Paul''s Episcopal Church. While there are shades of other artists in her voice, her sound and style is truly unique, which is a rarity these days.
More powerful than her voice is the story of her life. Bizzy struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for 22 years until she surrendered and admitted her defeat. God moved into her heart and she was completely transformed. Since then, she has dedicated her life and her music to the Creator!
Bizzy can often be found sharing her music at several different worship settings and other Christian venues such as coffeehouses and concerts in Connecticut and surrounding areas.

One of Bizzy''s greatest passions is songwriting. She began writing while in college but it wasn''t until her life changed directions that she really caught the songwriting bug, this year [2004] alone she has penned at least a song a week! Her debut recording, "The Plan", was released in September 1998. It is a nine-song sampler with the promise of greater things to come! It has been a longtime prayer of Bizzy''s that she would have the opportunity to record more of her songs and the Lord has been faithful in answering her prayer for she has just completed her second recording which was recorded at The Carriage House Studios, entitled, "Drink Deeply". It was released in December of 2002 and it has been extremely well received! Now she and her fans are praying that it will happen a 3rd time!!
Like her name and personality, her music is outstanding and not easily forgotten!

Listen to the buzz about Bizzy!

A great CD for those seeking a rich experience of worship. Having interviewed Bizzy during her Worship on Wednesday (W.O.W) days, I could sense her passion to serve Christ so deeply. The title for her album is so appropriate, and her personality onstage is one of humbleness, and yet joy as she shares her struggles and victories with her audience. She has a great future ahead of her don''t miss her next concert.

What a sound! The disc is amazing. The variety of instrumentation, the choral arrangements, I am truly impressed. ..."Isn''t God Great" is a grabber! -

- the passion in your voice is truly amazing. Norah Jones?

Style: I hear this song''s style as traditional praise and worship. It''s also an obvious fit for the Christmas music genre. Melody: A wonderful, energetic, jazz oriented melody that held my attention until the last bar. The chorus has a singable melody. Structure: Excellent structure! The chorus is strong and the choir accompaniment works well. Lyric: The lyric is written a classic, paraphrased scriptural style. It''s cohesive and works well with the joyful melody and arrangement --it has good prosody. Listener ID #34
Taxi''s review of "Come and See The Glory"

Fantastic!!! I have probably played "Drink Deeply" in part or in total every single day since the concert. I''m not some music freak but I am royally blessed by the depth and the quality of your music. I note that on most albums I''m lucky if I find one or two memorable songs. I find EVERY song on Drink Deeply memorable, rattling around in my memory daily. This is a good thing!
