Featured in DRUM! Magazine, Scott Beddia first created "IndepenDRUM" to bring drumming and rhythm stage front in his own personal way by writing and performing these musical rhythms on his kit. The pieces Scott performs on both the CD and live are performed by 1 person on 1 track on 1 drum set using rhythms of 4-way independence (hence the name IndepenDRUM). Some of these rhythms have been used as teaching tools for clinics, and theater shows. Along with theater shows, Scott also believes that his creation is also perfect for film scores and jingles.
After wanting to take this unique way of drumming further, Scott met with soundscape artist: "Theater of Silence" to add another dimension to the live show. This duo can be heard on tracks 1-11 on Scott''s debut CD titled IndepenDRUM. Tracks 12-22 feature the actual " raw drums only" tracks. Scott and Christian will be taking the live performance to a new level and on the road to theaters and venues across the country. You will find yourself engulfed in another world of sound and technical prowess. So sit back, and enjoy the ride to another place and time.
