This is Saint Mad''s first album of originals, but Jim (guitar) and Martha (trumpet) have been writing all their lives, so it''s all about the songs. The overall theme of the album is, "It''s never too late to chase your dreams." From the rousing opening song, "Can''t Let Go," through the closing anthem, "Wish," that exhorts us to chase our dreams together, it''s a wistful, inspiring album written from experience.

"Waiting to Start" was recorded over a two-year period (2007-2009) at Radioactive Productions in Philadelphia PA. Owner-operator Daoud Shaw, who engineered, produced, and played percussion on the album, has been a performer and producer in the music business for over forty years. Among his many credits, he has been the drummer for the Saturday Night Live Band, the Jerry Garcia Band, and Van Morrison.
