Tony Dutcher does it all as the driving force behind alternative rock band Clear Image. The one man band, who often has guest appearances, started in Houghton, Michigan in 2004. Then a part time project during college quickly became a full time obsession.
Dutcher spent years perfecting a sound that is influenced by: Interpool, Muse, Starflyer 59 and Weezer leading up to the 2006 release of his first album self titled Clear Image. However Dutcher is the first to admit that the early records were a bit brash and raw, he believes that the 2008 release of Flowers is when the music came into its own.
Since then Clear Image has appeared on several local music compilations. Has played everything from basement shows to opening of Lucky Boys Confusion and is ever forging forward with new lyrics and melodies.
His latest offering, In Love, is the most polished and pop oriented album yet. Hoping to catch a few people''s ears with it along the way.
As an entity, Clear Image provides an audience with complex - but pleasant to the ear mixing with the you-and-the-audience coffee house feel.
