In April 2007, husband and wife team, Thaddeus and Karen Gatling organized God’s Army of Tenacity (G.A.T.) Ministries. Although just organized in 2007, this ministry was envisioned by them thru God over 15 years ago. G.A.T. Ministries is a family Christian based ministry birthed on the premise of being used by God to minister and encourage others to stand through all obstacles faced in life. The foundations of our ministry are strength, courage and tenacity.
God’s Army of Tenacity Fellowship Choir (G.A.T.F.C.) is the spiritual foundation by which G.A.T. Ministries thrives and utilizes its purpose, passion, perfection, and premise through the calling that God has placed upon them. G.A.T.F.C. was founded on the premise of not having denominational or religious limitations. The ministry of G.A.T.F.C. is not just to sing words, but to understand what’s being sung, why it’s being sung, and the message being brought forth in and through the songs. They are a way of teaching life’s lessons and creating a system of value and worth of positive accountability and self examination for upward growth both spiritually and naturally.
G.A.T.F.C. has members from various communities and churches that range in age of approximately 16 to 50. The older members minister and mentor the younger members. Likewise, the ministry has taken on a greater sense of urgency due to the city streets getting more and more dangerous. We must all work together to create a safe environment for our youth to flourish and develop their God given talents. It is very important that we pour into the lives of the children in the community. As we work with them on a weekly basis, we can see the hand of God moving in their lives. Young and old alike proudly show their enthusiasm for the ministry and count it as a privilege to have the opportunity to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ
G.A.T.F.C.’s core mandate and mission statement is to fulfill the spiritual assignment of imparting self worth, higher self-esteem, and self empowerment into those strategically placed in our pathway by God. Our foundational scripture(s) are intertwined together in
Phillipians 3:14 & Romans 12:1-2 - Therefore, forgetting those things which are behind, we press towards the mark of the high calling in Jesus Christ, as we strive to present our bodies are a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service, thru our daily conviction of not being conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we might prove what is that good and acceptable will of God.
For we’ve been groomed and acknowledge that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places and for this we humbly accept and prepare strive daily to prepare ourselves to be GOD’S ARMY OF TENACITY FELLOWSHIP CHOIR, as we first fellowship and minister amongst ourselves in order to be able to fellowship and minister in word and song to others.
