The debut album from Gamble N'' Hoiseck Trial By Fire was 6 years in the making. Tony Gamble is a touring session guitarist who has worked with some of the biggest names in the music biz. After a long tour in 2001 Tony decided to put out a solo acoustic vocal record "On Coming Train" which didn''t sell all that well but received major radio airplay. 2003 the next solo record "Read Between The Lines" was released. Tony took a break for a while continuing touring/session work he decided to record an all Ukulele instrumental CD in 2006 "Breaking Tradition"which lead to a month long tour of Hawaii doing major radio/TV appearances, and was well received earning nominations for the Hawaiian Music Awards "Best Ukulele Album" and the Hoku''s Hawaiian Academy of Recording Arts (Hawaiian Grammy''s) Rock album of the Year.
After touring tony walked away from his 2nd ukulele record stating "it wasn''t fun anymore and I needed a break" Fast forward to 2009 Tony decided to take some of his tunes and start working on a new solo record. "I had a ton of songs written and I was just going to release them as is" Until Tony gave the demos to a good friend at a record label. "Doug told me I needed some production on them before I release them" In the mean time Tony''s next door neighbor Dave Hoiseck was moving out. "I Knew he was a singer and I never heard him, but I had a show coming up and asked if he wanted to sing a couple of tunes" "He came in and we ended up writing a song in like 5 minutes called "Back There Again" "It sounded cool and we just decided to keep going." "We ended up writing another tune called "Eyes of Her Love". Even though Tony Sang on all but 3 songs, they decided to call the new project Gamble N Hoiseck. G N'' H debut show was at the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood on September 24th 2009, "We were a little nervous because it was our first show and I didn''t know if we would sell any tickets" " So with a little help from Psycho Mike from KROQ the big rock station in L.A. and the label Cocaine Incorporated the show was a complete sell out!" "People couldn''t get in, I was so blown away, it was great!" On that note G N'' H are happy to be playing music and at this point love the new record and hope you do too.
