Details:
Spaghetti Cake is a rock band for the whole family.

"Noodle Soup" was recorded live in front of a studio audience at Audio Media Solutions in East Hartford, CT in August 2009. It features the same lineup of great musicians that have toured with the group all over New England and home state of Connecticut for most of the 2000s decade. It is a collection of fan favorites (the band endearingly calls their devoted fans Noodles) and new songs as well, some of which were written exclusively for this release. The entire album was performed and recorded in one take, LIVE, with no overdubs, and no autotune. Not an easy task, but for one magical summer night, this band of best friends was in rare form and it shows. It is their gift to Noodles everywhere for 10 years of support and love.

The 3rd official CD release in the band''s history, "Noodle Soup" is not just a look back but also a look into the future of the band. In 2000, Glen Nelson and Susan Birk, both school teachers, set out to write great rock songs for older kids and their families. At the time, they assembled an all-star line up of regional musicians from some of their favorite bands. (Flipper Dave, Max Creek, Joy Kills Sorrow, Littlehorse, Buddha Funk Special) "Jam Food" and "Sunflower (2002)" were born out of this intensely fruitful collaboration. As the years passed, Sue and Glen needed to form a band that they could count on to actually play their songs in front of an audience. Enter Dennis Fancher on electric guitar, who has been with the band since the beginning. Later to be added were lifelong friends and band mates Todd "E-Bones" Howard on bass guitar and Christopher Eddy on percussion. Rounding out the band is Mike Tierney on drums (the only remaining member from the original recording sessions.) Over the 2000s, Spaghetti Cake not only matured into a world-class family rock band, but a vocal band as well, blending 4-part harmony over most of the older material, which originally featured either Sue or Glen on solo lead vocals. This is why the band decided to revisit some of their classic material on "Noodle Soup", to demonstrate the growth of the songs, and the changing sound of the band. The newer songs are culled from 10 years of songwriting workshops, Glen''s school CDs, and hundreds of live shows. Tried and true crowd favorites, all. Also featured for the first time is Todd "E-Bones" Howard on lead vocal, who wrote the brand-new song "Rollercoaster", further indicating the group''s evolution. This set also includes "Guitar Hero", a single that the band released earlier in the year. "Noodle Soup" is the perfect album of songs for the brand-new Spaghetti Cake listener, or the most devoted of noodles from the start. It is a perfect representation of what a live Spaghetti Cake show sounds like, a souvenir for anyone to bring home and enjoy.

"Noodle Soup" was mixed in the Fall of 2009 by Mike Tierney and Glen Nelson, mastered by John McCaig at Panic Studios in Seattle, WA, and the album artwork was designed by Christopher Eddy and Glen Nelson.

The band has also released a live DVD called "Ready For Summer (2006)", available now on https://www.tradebit.com, and an iTunes exclusive EP release called "What About Pluto (2007)". They continue to play all over Connecticut and New England, please tell your friends and come out to say hi at a show!
