Details:
My first album “Waiting in the Wings” is a compilation of songs I wrote about relationships and life experiences. Some of these came from personal experience and some came from material I observed from friends, T.V. or movies. In the end, they have one thing in common. They are about situations in life to which everyone can relate.

“Waiting in the Wings” is about a typical boy/girl relationship where boy likes girl... girl doesn’t like boy in that way… then boy falls for a different girl and the original girl realizes she really does love the boy. In the end she is left to “wait in the wings” hoping he will come back to her.

“Fallin For You” is a song about a girl realizing for the first time that she is falling in love with a guy and she talks about all the crazy things that is making her fall for him like “staying up making midnight smores”. It reminds us all how fun it is to fall in love!
“No Sleep Tonight” is about someone realizing their relationship is over even though they don’t want it to be and all the turmoil that goes with that emotion. In the end the person wonders if their partner will be the one who is getting “no sleep tonight” when they realize what they’ve lost.
“High School” is a song for anyone who has ever been in high school or is going to high school. It depicts typical high school moments to which everyone can laugh and relate.

“Stay” was written when a friend of mine was going through a rough time. Thankfully someone was there to help him, and I realized then that even in the hardest of times you can’t give up because you never know what life has in store for you just around the corner. It is a song of hope.
“They’re Coming” is a song about the “in” crowd that I was never a part of in high school. People always feared that group and they were labeled as sometimes the mean girls, but I wondered after I wrote the song if that’s really who they were or if they were just perceived that way because people outside their crowd never really had the opportunity to get to know them. Reunions should be fun when we all grow up!

“She’s No Me” was written when I had a crush on a guy who was enthralled with another girl. I knew in my heart that I was a better choice for him…. Haven’t we all been there? After all, “she’s no me!”

“Save Me” is a song I wrote one weekend night about how I wanted my prince charming to come and save me, like my songs do, from my quiet, stay at home life on the weekends. One day my prince charming does come and we get married and in the end my daughter is wanting her prince charming to come and save her! Funny how life circles around… of course I’m only 16 and don’t have a daughter, so yes, this is a fictional yet heartfelt song!

“Not That Girl” was written for any girl who has ever been played by a guy… doesn’t that include just about all of us? The message in the song is that I am good on my own and would rather be alone than in bad company with someone that’s not a quality guy.

“Believe” is also a song of hope. I wrote this song when I was thinking about the world today and how much it has changed since the olden days when times were simpler. I love watching old movies and enjoying the formality of southern gentlemen and classy ladies. In our world today we tend to idolize the wrong things, and this song is about how if we would focus on what’s important… living like brothers and sisters, there would be less war and more peace and harmony.

I started writing songs when I was ten years old about different emotions I was experiencing. Even though I come from a very loving and supportive family, I would write songs about any and everything I saw or experienced fictional or non. If I was ever bored in one of my classes.. out came the pen... I wrote some of my best songs during.... well, I won''t mention which classes. My songs started as chords on the piano and then when I added live instruments to them, they took on a life of their own. I soon discovered that I could write different songs by using the guitar with its different sound and rhythm.
You can always find a smile on my face when you see a guitar in my hand and a pen nearby. To relax I often listen to Frank Sinatra and read old books (especially old poetry). Thank you for taking the time to listen to my music!
