Details:
Andrea Farfan was born into the family of a school teacher in Bogotá, Colombia. Early on, she learned the love of a latin family, faith in God, passion for music, and how to ride horses on a farm.
It was at the age of 13 that Andrea’s professional career began, playing saxophone with a band on the beautiful island of San Andres, Colombia.

Andrea''s mission is to share with the world the love and happiness that is the heart of Colombian culture. In composing her music Andrea combines Latin tastes with flavors of music from other countries. Andrea sings in Spanish, Greek, Italian, French, and Hebrew.

Over the years, Andrea has performed in various parts of Asia, Latin America and North America including Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Canada and the United States. In 2001 she was the first female saxophonist and the first latina to perform at the White House in Washington DC at an event for the United Nations. She has also performed at Disney World and on such TV channels as Univison, Telemundo, Telemiami, and Pepsi Chart.

Her voice has accompanied such artists as Paulina Rubio, Celine Dion, Miguel Bossè, Eddie Herrera, Ana Torroja, and El General. The sounds of her saxophone have been heard with such bands as Las Estrellas Son De Azucar, Big Band Show, and Ivan y Sus Ban Ban among others. In Miami, Andrea performed with the band of Gaby Gabriel in the TV show “7:30” presented by Rolando Barral.

Andrea is continuing her mother''s vision to establish a foundation in the village of La Vega near Bogotá. One of the songs on Andrea''s upcoming debut album is dedicated to the memory of her mother and her mother''s dreams to advance the education of children in Colombia.
