"Life is Good"!

Love to All, Thank you for your purchase!
Benjamin E. Rios

1- Sun Risen: What I had envisioned during this song was the sun rising over the mountains, out west, giving the sense of how small we really are to this earth and how life should be appreciated as we will not be on this earth forever. Every emotion in this recording was transposed beautifully! Two months after this recording, I saw what I had envisioned out my 10th floor window at the Hard Rock Hotel!!

2- Believe in Karma: I wrote this song right on the spot, unrehearsed. I just hit the record button and went for it. The emotions that were in my head and heart at the time, were the thoughts of how things that we do always come back to us; "good" or "bad". If you truly believe you have passed on "good" to others it will come back to you. If you have passed on "bad" to others...May God Help you.

3- Birth of Child: This song was one of my most heartfelt songs. It was written about the birth of my first child. All of the feelings I had were put into this song. The emotions of: extreme love, exhilaration, hope, fear, joy, all rolled up in one. At the time, I was going through some tough times with my first born (which he is now 16). I just sat back and remembered when I brought him home from the hospital and everything that has occurred since then. All of the joy, happiness and heart ache of raising a young teenager...as you can hear during the end of the song with all of the raging guitar!

4- Trusted Hearts: This song actually has lyrics to it. I decided to put it on this recording just to see what I could do with it. It was written about really finding a trusted heart in someone.

5- Spanish Storm: Well, being of Mexican decent, I thought it may be appropriate to express some form of what my heritage is,..I guess?,...oh well! This tasty little song was written with the old cliche'' in mind of "That hot tempered Mexican man" ha,ha!
I envisioned dark clouds flowing violently in the Texas sky, with trees blowing, branches falling, lightning striking, thunderous roars, and the rage of the rain and hail, and all the chaos and uncertainty of a storm,...well in my mind and in my guitar...

6- Phantom of Death: I wrote this song quite a while ago and it was called "Death." After I did this recording it sounded a lot like the rhythm in the beginning of "Phantom of the Opera"...so I changed the title to "Phantom of Death". It was written about the intriguing end of life and what may or may not be waiting for us on the other side.

7- Mustang GT: Just imagine shifting through the gears on an open freeway, hearing the engine roar, feeling the adrenaline and just letting it fly!!!! This one was written on the spot, no rehearsal.

8- America''s Strength: I wrote this song on September 15, 2001, 4 days after the World Trade Center disaster. I was sitting with my son, watching CNN and was just overwhelmed with emotion over what I was seeing, as it is described in my words in the song. Julie Reichle is featured as the lead vocalist on this one. A very sweet acoustical type song.

9- You''re My Thought: I was a bit of a hopeless romantic and basically love that "falling in love" feeling that I hope everyone gets a chance to experience. This features Natalie Sanders on vocals. Recorded at Sound Camp Recording Studios.

10- I Feel Alone: During the sessions with Natalie Sanders, we were rehearsing some other songs and she had these words already written with no music. I loved the sound of the melody so much that I just had to put music to it. This recording captured what we were doing at our rehearsals. The great sound of my Custom Wechter - "Benjamin E. Rios" signature acoustic guitar and her sad sweet sounding voice. So that is basically how we recorded it, just her and I in the room. Recorded at Sound Camp Recording Studios.

I have a few other CD''s on the way. They will be listed under "Benjamin E. Rios" on the heading. I promise, they will also be songs from the heart, you will not forget them!

Peace
B.E.R.
