AVOIDANCE OF
DOUBT
Firstly thanks for taking an interest in Avoidance of Doubt. We are creating quite a buzz in the Industry at the moment and hopefully this will give you further information on the band and our career so far.

To give you some background information, AOD released their first album ‘Science of the Mind’ via a small independent label; Tomcat Records in 2004. Now, we have a new set, new material and a new EP released April 22nd 2006. The band are receiving an immense amount of interest from within the industry and from a large number of labels and promoters etc. That''s before you even take a look at AOD''s awesome stage show.
NEW CD/EP
AOD have just completed recording a new EP; ''Through My Eyes'' featuring 4 new tracks and several remixes. The EP, recorded at Britannia Row Studios in London and mixed at Jacobs has been produced by Steve Lyon (The Cure, Paradise Lost, Depeche Mode, The Creatures and Nitzer Ebb).

''Through my Eyes'' also features Emilie Autumn who has played with Billy Corgan and Courtney Love, Emilie is also causing quite a stir in the USA with her own solo work.
ON TOUR
The band has just completed its second headline tour of 30 dates across the UK following on from our first highly successful tour early in 2005. On the most recent ‘Salvation Tour’ AOD also had support dates with UltraViolence and VNV Nation (at the bands’ request).

We hope to tour again later in 2006 along with some possible German dates and we are also in discussion re: a tour of Portugal, Spain and other European territories. Emilie Autumn, has also invited us to tour in the USA with her. We are also as we speak putting together a USA tour scheduled for August/September.
AOD BELIEVERS
We have a fast growing fan base with hits to our website growing every month. (1500 in July and exceeded 3000 in Feb 2006).

Our Myspace account has really taken off with 1400 friends in February, but has now grown to 11500 at the beginning of April and 300 or more new friends finding us everyday.

''Burn'' in its demo form received over 1000 plays in 1 week alone, ''Jesus Wept'' again in demo form getting over 1400 downloads from https://www.tradebit.com. With each track from the new EP exceeding 4000 downloads each in their first 4 weeks of being up on the net.
THE LOOK, THE SOUND
We initially appear as a fairly OTT and outrageous visual band along with the fact that we are both musically heavy and yet have a bizarrely "dance-ish" backbone to our music. However from being out on the road we find that our fans come from all ages and backgrounds and we have an exceptionally wide musical appeal. A good example of this would be our headline date at The Roadmender ‘Friday Fri Up’ playing to a sell out crowd of under 16''s of nearly 700.

Avoidance of Doubt have been compared to Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, NiN, Rob Zombie, Static X and Korn. Often labeled as Gothic Metal, Industrial Cyber, Dance Metal or Disco Metal.

However AOD are all and none of these things, whilst they are alternative, they are a theatrical experience drawing not just from the aforementioned bands but also from Pink Floyd, David Bowie and from the more visual aspects of music and performance.

Mixing it all up with an exceptionally tight stage show and a vibrant passion fueled visual performance.
GLOBAL DOMINATION
AOD still remain highly commercial with haunting and powerful melodies. AOD seek forward thinking labels and promoters to further their career with a goal of global domination. We have seen press coverage in the major metal magazines reviewing our first album: Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Kerrang and RockSound.
SUPPORTERS TO THE CAUSE
AOD are sponsored by Allycat Metalware (who make all our accessories), Devolution Magazine and also RFA Slaghuis Media who provide all our online streaming. Our make up brushes are provided by Christine Alsopp a Bafta nominated make up artist who will be doing AOD''s make up on our new video filming in the summer.

We are also looking for equipment endorsements and make up and hairspray sponsorship.
ON SCREEN
The latest Track ''Jesus Wept'' has now been re-recorded from its demo form and is tipped to be our first ‘big’ single and is to be play listed on Scuzz TV and will also feature on Kerrang TV’s Reloaded program. The track has been aired on Sky channel Extreme Sports and is earmarked to be used in the next Richard Gere film “The Flock” and also possibly in a new Bruce Willis film currently in pre production.

Producer Steve Lyon has said we are the most original band he has ever heard and worked with, we look forward to recording our second album with him.
