21/3 (Twenty-One over Three) released their debut CD on the Portal Records Label in July of 2003. The CD is entitled “A question of time”. The compact disc received airplay on over 20 radio stations throughout Colorado and reached #3 on the play list at KRCC in Colorado Springs. The ensemble has opened for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Colorado Springs Jazz Festival, jazz guitarist extraordinaire Stanley Jordan and the New York based jazz group “The Bad Plus” at the popular Colorado Springs concert venue 32 Bleu. The ensemble released their 2nd CD entitled "In the Nick of Time" in June of 2005 on the Portal Records Label. This release has been heard on airwaves in Europe, Australia, Japan, Canada and throughout the United https://www.tradebit.com group released their their 3rd CD entitled “No Time Like the Present” on the Portal records Label in July of 2008.
As this rhythmic and melodic instrumental group improvises over uncharted territory authentically original music is unveiled. These inspired melodies are geared to expand the music vocabulary of its participants with songs that animate and enliven the listening experience. The Jazz-rock influences of Weather Report, The Yellowjackets, Frank Zappa and Chick Corea can be heard in the interweaving labyrinth of musical textures created by the group.

Dick Cunico
(Keyboards, Percussion, Drums, Vocals)
Dick s music education includes studies at Western State College in Gunnison Colorado, Dick Grove Music Workshop in Studio City, California, Los Angeles Valley College in Van Nuys California and the LA Jazz Workshop in Los Angeles, California. He studied privately with Alex Acuna (of the group Weather Report), Allen Carter (LA Jazz Workshop), Mark Converse (The Freddie Gruber Method) and Casey Schurelle (LA studio musician).
As leader of the group, Dick’s abilities as a Drummer, Percussionist, Pianist, Composer and Arranger are showcased. His professional music career spans 40 years and includes performances and/or recordings with numerous jazz greats such as Skitch Henderson (NBC Orchestra), Howard Levy (Bela Fleck), Eric Marienthal (Chic Corea), Steve Bailey (The Rippingtons & Dizzy Guilesspie), Louis Conte (Koinonea), Lanny Morgan (Supersax), Alex Isles (Bob Florence Big Band), Bob Summers (Woody Herman Big Band), Benoit Grey (Ray Charles), Rick Fleisman (Art Pepper), Henry Skipper Franklin (Clark Terry), Tom Hill (Ray Brown Band), Kim Stone (the Rippingtons and Spyro Gyro) and Alex Milstein (Jeff Lorber).
Dick''s original music & groups have performed at many prestigious Jazz festivals and have been featured on the hit T.V. program Northern Exposure. Concert experience includes performances at over 900 cities in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan Europe and The Philippines. His Motion Picture experience includes The Beverly Hillbillies Movie (20th Century Fox) performing with Dolly Parton, The Thing Called Love (Paramount) performing with River Phoenix, Debbie Allen and Jimmy Dale Gilmore, When A Man Loves A Woman (Touchstone), Brain Donners (Paramount), Thirty Something (Aaron/Spelling) and Burkes Law (Aaron/Spelling)

Chris Wojtecki
(Alto and Tenor Sax)
Chris became intrigued by saxophones more than 20 years ago. Winning a scholarship for music performance. He studied music theory and jazz improvisation with Howie Smith at Cleveland State University of Dayton Ohio. He has also studied saxophone privately with Ray Dewitt of Colorado Springs. He performs with local and community concert bands. such as the Colorado Springs Contemporary Big Band, Chris Hartung Quartet, The Dwight Shaw Big Band, Orquestra Sobroso, The Soul Perpetrators and the Little Big Band. Chris has also performed with Leslie Gore, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs and New Jack Hippies. He can be heard on the compact disc “Dick Cunico’s Little Big Band” “All I wanna do is swing” and the 21/3 CD’s entitled “A Question of Time”, “In the Nick of Time” and “No Time Like the Present”.

Chris Hartung
(Guitar and Guitar Synthesizer)
Chris began playing and studying Jazz in 1978. He majored in Horticulture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while playing in the University’s Big band as well as numerous small jazz groups under the direction of Rusty White. He studied with several guitar players including Leroy Critcher, Woody Nelson and Mitchell Long all who specialize in playing Jazz. Jazz has been and remains to be Chris’ main area of focus. He can be heard on the “Dick Cunico’s Little Big Band” compact disc entitled “All I wanna do is swing” and the 21/3 CD’s entitled “A Question of Time”, “In the Nick of Time” and “No Time Like the Present”. He has also recorded and performed with The Dwight Shaw Big Band, The Bill Finch Trombone Ensemble, Kim Stone (of the Rippingtons). He also leads his own jazz group “The Chris Hartung Quartet”. Chris has performed at the Pikes Peak Jazz festival, Jazz in the Sangres, Woodland Park Music Series and has opened for Ben Verene.

Rich Clark
(Drums, Percussion, Keyboards, Vocals)
Rich studied at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston Mass, Dick Grove Music Workshop in Studio City California. the Oral Roberts University Music Camp in Tulsa Oklahoma and has been a Certified member of the National Association of Rudimental Drummers since 1977. He studied with Earl Rettig and Ed Tatum at Berklee, and Nick Ceroli (of Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass) at Dick Groves. He has performed with a variety of bands playing rock, pop, country, blues, tejano, Big Band and jazz as well as performing with the Pueblo Symphony and over 100 shows with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Theater Productions. His arranging, composing and keyboard performance skills have been utilized with several groups including 21/3. Several of his compositions as well as his drumming and keyboard skills are featured on each of the 21/3 CD’s entitled “A Question of Time”, “In the Nick of Time” and “No Time Like the Present”.
