This being said, self proclaimed Shanty-rock group ''The Long Holidays'' and their Captain Jim Man o'' War, will take you on an epic journey around the world and around your own backyard, through Liquid Space and over land to answer the question "what is out there?". Included are songs with vivid descriptions of robotic squid attacks, experimental genetics, pirates, ghosts and california coasts. The Long Holidays are based in Los Angeles and are known for two things; their their use of 8-string ukulele, electric accordion, surf-guitar and hand percussion in addition to conventional rock instrumentation and their larger than life onstage personas. All of this comes across in their new release, "The Adventure Through Liquid Space". The nine original songs and works by Joanna Newsom and Tom Waits flow seamlessly together into a trip you won''t forget.
