Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie is a 1995 American documentary film directed by Peter Kuran. It is narrated by William Shatner. Using restored archive footage, the film traces the development of nuclear weapons and their testing, from America''s Trinity test of 1945 (hence the title) to the first Chinese atomic bomb test in 1964.
You will notice a constant musical struggle between capturing the beautiful visuals and the horror of the bomb. The film was designed in such a way as to allow long mounting cues with each dramatic event. It is really a pictorial history of the bomb. After seeing some of these other-worldly creatures unfolding in the heavens, you find yourself caught up in the visuals and soon begin questioning your own mortality.
