When attending a traveling minstrel show or cabaret, there is a variety of song ,dance and performance such that one never knows what to expect with the next act. I wanted to create a collection of songs that would reflect and borrow from the forms and styles that have had influence on me. Rock ,Blues,Folk.Classical,Jazz ,R&B,Spiritual,Latin,,Chant and other Taditional musical forms find their way into this eclectic mix to some degree or another and create the burlesque spirit of a variety show flawed and disjointed yet balanced by its exuberance and naive ambition. Like the rooms in a hotel, each track is a separate universe unto itself. They exist independantly side by side united by the need of a roof.
