MP3 driver13 - Until The End Of Time

Intellectual hard rock with soul and passion that reaches deep inside both mind and body to release what we all have spinning inside.......

9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Hard Rock, ROCK: Modern Rock

Details:
It all started when Last Crack 2.0 dissolved & Shawn Anthony Brown met Kerry koppen. Their band was called Spiritus and did well for about 3 years. Then because of unforseen circumstances, Shawn went back to NC.(Fortified Universe) After much frustration of no longer doing music, Shawn decided to give it one last try in the Madtown! Going through several line up changes, and some what of an over all metamorphisis, Driver13 is now a very solidly structured machine. With Mickey Klawitter, a veteran Bassist hailing from the madison area, & Todd Anderson on the skins, an excellent percussionist, the rythm section was now a solid foundation. And the addition of DJ Natural Selector was just the icing on the cake. Driver13 is Hard Rock that reaches deep inside both mind & body to release what we all have "Spinning Inside".....

DRIVER 13 was formed in March of 2002 fused together by five of Madison, WI''s most prominent musical influences. With strong and emotionally powerful vocals provided by Shawn Brown, inventive guitar supplements wielded by Kerry Koppen, a pulsing rhythm section locked down by bassist Mickey Klawitter and drummer Todd Anderson and the scratch-mastery of Natural Selector, the marriage of the five has proven to be one of the most promising heavy rock acts to emerge onto the scene in a long time. With catchy hooks and dark melodies, writing maturity and desire is what motivates this quintet''s path to longevity and assured success.

If you haven''t checked out Driver 13 live or on record you''re simply missing out on one of the most engaging and unique hard rock acts to come along in along time. This band seems to have everything: Great songs, energetic showmanship, and the powerhouse vocals of Shawn Brown. Each member of the band brings an individual identity to the performance, which adds up to more than the sum of its parts. Scratcher/electronics man Natural Selector contributes a great deal to this band and really helps distinguish them from the pack. Jumping up and down and whirling about the stage, his enthusiasm is infectious and entertaining. Bassist Brian C brings his own brand of stage presence to the table, bobbing and weaving with focused intensity. An astute player he does anything but stick to the root note. Guitarist Kerry Koppen embodies the ideal fusion of energy and cool. With his shades and dark, menacing wall of guitar sound, he makes the perfect mystery-man foil for Brown''s soul-baring presentation. Newest member Todd Anderson anchors everything with authority from the drumkit. There''s not enough you can say about Shawn Brown in performance, either. This dynamo of a man has the best hard rock voice I''ve heard around here and has personality to spare. He''s extremely entertaining and you just won''t believe the sound this man can project. He''s also adept at engaging the audience. At one point on this night he led the crowd in a chant: "Everybody''s cool/ Everybody sucks/ Everybody''s cares so much/ They don''t give a fuck!" Believe me, when Driver 13 is on the stage, all eyes are watching. All of this stage personae might just be empty posturing if the songs weren''t so good and the band''s belief in themselves not so apparent. Kicking off with "Turn," from their newly released CD Until The End of Time, they then launched into an incredible rendition of "Driver," also from the album. The highlights of the set were a stunningly intense version of "Yin Yang," the set-closer "Alignment," and perhaps their best song, "Karma." If you like hard-hitting rock you simply have to get out and catch Driver 13. I guarantee you''ll dig it.
