This is the debut album from emerging Canadian artist CHRIS STAPLEY. His own backgound story is of an 11 yr. old boy, who after hearing/seeing The Beatles for the 1st time, knew that he wanted to perform and record his own songs. Drums were the 1st instrument until discovering his own powerful and gripping voice while playing in a soul band at the age of 15.
Already a shy and timid kid, this was all cut short by family problems that led him into a world of doubt and low self esteem. A lack of confidence plagued him into his 20''s and he gave up the dream.
Many years later, after marriage and 2 children, he got back in by singing in cover bands playing his FIRST club date at the age of 41. This was enough for a while until reminding himself of what he set out to do as a teenager...write, record, and perform his OWN songs.
Now, together with his boyhood friend and bandmate DAVID WIPPER (Amanda Marshall, Alannah Myles, Dan Hill, Lulu, Rita Coolidge) he has released this collection of life stories, humour, and love.
There are songs that most people can relate to..."I CAN STILL REMEMBER" ( a tribute to his grown up twin daughters that''s bound to bring a joyful tear to your eyes)..."THOSE DAYS" ( a tribute to the old neighbourhood that''s sure to make you smile)..and "NEGLECTED LOVE" (a story of regret and lessons learned in love)
