Fabian découvre la scène au Cours Florent, à Paris. Il poursuivra sa formation de comédien au Studio Jack Garfein, à Montmartre.
En chant, son premier mentor est Richard Cross, qui l’accueille en 1995 au Studio des Variétés, à Paris. Richard Cross, non encore connu du grand public pour ses prestations à la Star Academy, a déjà de très belles références. Il a notamment travaillé avec Eurythmics et Mylène Farmer, et deviendra bientôt un coach vocal très sollicité, pour les comédies musicales « Roméo & Juliette », « Autant en emporte le vent », « Ali Baba », ou auprès de Gérald De Palmas, Vanessa Paradis, Jean-Louis Aubert, Maurane, etc.
Fabian se perfectionne aussi auprès de Schuyler Hamilton. L’incomparable professeur de chant lyrique, au curriculum impressionnant, a mis son talent au service de la variété : « Starmania », « Notre Dame de Paris », Hélène Ségara, Dany Brillant, …
Viennent les concerts. En 1997 d’abord, au sein du groupe Carpe Diem, qui se produira aux Fêtes de la Musique de Mons, au Festival Rock de Thuin, etc.
En 1999, il poursuit seul le voyage et chante en première partie de François Feldman, aux Fêtes de Wallonie à Namur. Suivront de nombreux concerts dont un à Paris, au Pari’s Aller-Retour, et aux Francofolies de Spa (Franc’off - 2000).
« Où est la lumière », son premier album autoproduit, voit le jour en 2001 sous la houlette de Sylvain Vanholme, ex-Wallace Collection et Two Men Sound.
Cette année-là , Fabian gagne le Prix de la SABAM au Concours International de la Chanson Française Jean Darlier.
Il a le privilège d’être en première partie d’Annie Cordy lors de sa tournée belge, en 2005. Six dates s’enchaînent : à l’Espace Magnum de Colfontaine, au Forum de Liège, au Palais des Expo de Tournai, au Cirque Royal de Bruxelles, au Palais des Beaux Arts de Charleroi et au WEX, à Marche.
Il s’entoure de musiciens comme Barry Mc Neese à la basse, Philippe Moebers à la batterie, Fabien Bernard aux claviers, Gérard Jouffroy à la guitare, Mimi Belhomme et Belinda Debruyn aux chœurs.
Le deuxième album « Fantastique ! », enregistré chez Music Vision et mixé par Gérard Jouffroy, signe d’ailleurs la poursuite de la collaboration avec cette nouvelle équipe.
Plaisirs partagés
"On ne vend pas la musique, on la partage," a dit Leonard Bernstein. De partage, il est bien question avec un nouvel album réalisé en juillet 2008 : "Plaisirs partagés."
Plaisirs partagés avec les auteurs et compositeurs qui lui ont prêté leur inspiration et leur talent, dont Stan & Pipou, Ralph Benatar, Bruno Castelluci et Luc Verbeeren.
Plaisirs partagés avec des professeurs de chant et coachs vocaux qui lui ont permis de grandir. Plaisirs partagés avec des musiciens extraordinaires de rigueur et de talent, avec Pietro Lacirignola qui a enregistré, mixé l''album, et signé tous les solos de saxophone.
"Sans la musique, la vie serait une erreur," dit Nietzsche. Et Cioran d''ajouter dans une saillie superbe, admirable : "à quoi bon fréquenter Platon quand un saxophone peut aussi bien nous faire entrevoir un autre monde ?"
Et le monde que Sylvain, Ralph et Fabian ont imaginé, c’est un album composé de 13 titres dont 7 reprises, un mélange de chanson française et de jazz, aux accents de Big Band !
Le Band !
En 2009, Fabian choisit de s’entourer d’une toute nouvelle équipe, un véritable band ! Ben Deleers est aux guitares, Luc Verbeeren aux claviers, Philippe Mathy à la basse et Alain Dere à la batterie. Michèle Belhomme et Nathalie Dessars offrent leurs chœurs, tandis que Stéphane Baquet joue de la trompette, Olivier Delbar, du bugle, Bernard Baquet, du trombone à coulisse, et Pierre-Louis Derbeaudrenghien, du saxophone.
Ensemble, ils trouvent rapidement « leur » son : il s’agit de chanson française bien sûr, tantôt pop, tantôt rock, parfois jazzy, sur inspiration du dernier album.
Cela dit, pas question de reprises lors des concerts ! Le groupe privilégie les titres originaux, enchaînant morceaux rythmés et chansons plus intimistes. Le spectacle est total.
Leur premier concert du 24 octobre 2009 est un franc succès. Le public apprécie le répertoire varié, la qualité des musiciens et la palette des émotions partagées.
L’aventure est lancée.
Aujourd’hui, s’il cherche encore et toujours la lumière, Fabian sait que quand on poursuit un chemin, ce n''est pas la destination qui compte, c''est le voyage.

Fabian discovers the pleasure of being on stage at the very famous acting school «Le Cours Florent", in Paris and at the Studio Jack Garfein, in Paris, Montmartre.
Richard Cross will be his first mentor. Richard has become the first vocal coach in France. He has worked as well with Eurythmics or Mylène Farmer, and for a myriad of French stars, for various successful musicals.
Fabian will also beneficiate of advanced classes with Schuyler Hamilton, an outstanding American Professor who has eventually coached singers in musicals like Starmania » or « Notre Dame de Paris.»
He really starts performing in 1997 with the so called band Carpe Diem and starting 1999, keeps following the tracks all by himself, singing in Belgium and France.
In 2001, he records his first album, « Où est la lumière » (Seeking for the light), thanks to Sylvain Vanholme, ex-Wallace Collection and Two Men Sound. If you don''t know Sylvain, for sure, you''ve heard his words. The guy has written the lyrics of "Daydream" and "Charlie Brown" and both titles, that are famous all over the world, are now also real myths!
That same year, Fabian wins the Sabam Prize at the International French Song Contest Jean Darlier.
In 2005, he gets the privilege to open Annie Cordy''s concerts in her Belgian tour. Annie Cordy is definitely a Star in Belgium and France. She has played in very many movies with the greatest partners and film makers and has been singing and playing on stage for decades. At almost 80 years old, she''s still full of energy and very popular. Thanks to her, Fabian will have the opportunity to perform in the most famous Belgian theaters.
For that tour, he is surrounded by excellent musicians who allow him to level up.
The second album, "Fantastique!" (Fantastic!) is a natural conclusion to their collaboration.

"We do not sell music, we share it," has said Leonard Bernstein. That''s exactly what Fabian wants to do with his new album: "Plaisirs partagés."
He''ll be thus sharing music with great composers and great musicians like Stan & Pipou, Ralph Benatar, Bruno Castelluci, Pietro Lacirignola and Luc Verbeeren.
"Without music, life would be a mistake," said Nietzsche. And the philosopher Cioran could superbly add: "no need to get around Plato when a saxophone alone can let you discover another world."
And the world created by Sylvain Vanholme, Ralph Benatar and Fabian Delahaut is an album made of 13 tracks including 7 covers: a subtle mix of French and jazzy music played by a... Big Band!

En 2009, Fabian has the opportunity to work with a brand new team, a real band: Ben Deleers plays guitars, Luc Verbeeren, keyboards, Philippe Mathy, bass guitar, and Alain Dere, drums. Michèle Belhomme and Nathalie Dessars are backing vocals whileStéphane Baquet plays trumpet, Olivier Delbar, flugel horn, Bernard Baquet, slide-trombone, and Pierre-Louis Derbeaudrenghien, saxophone.
Altogether, they easily find "their sound", "their style": French songs of course, except for “Solitude,” either pop or rock, and sometimes slightly jazzy.
There are nearly no covers during their show. Fabian wants to play original music and intends to give a wide variety of sounds and emotions to his fans. As a matter of fact, the perf. is definitely a real show!
Their first performance in public is held on the 24th of October 2009, and reveals to be a big success! Fans will notably appreciate being moved from tears to laughs, from intimate and delicate songs to vigorous rhythms. In other words, Fabian now also really shares music with people, with a public.
He and his band are on their road.
Today, if Fabian is still seeking for light, he knows, deep inside, that when you follow a path, final destination doesn''t count. Journey does.
