Circe is the brain child of singer, guitarist and keyboardist Annatova Neches. After meeting Benjamin Carter (Bass)in early 2007 they began working on Circe''s first recordings known as the Helio''s Project recorded at Zanzibar Studios with producer Ben Lindesmith. During this period Annatova and Benjamin began working full time in Ben Lindesmiths project, Zebre, where they also began working with drummer Scott Young. But after two years and one full length album with Zebre, they decided it was time to refocus their energy on making Circe their musical and artistic priority.
2009 marked the beginning of this dedicated effort, with the playing of several shows and the beginning of Circe recording their first single (Envy) and EP (Songs From the Island) recorded at Island studios, produced and engineered by Circe under the supervision of Benjamin Carter which is expected to be released in 2010.
