The poems presented in this CD have been set to music by a number of brilliant composers. My idea was to start from these works and bring the original poem to life by reciting some of the verses. In 2003, I came across Cuban singer-songwriter Ana Maria Garcia, who loved the idea and working in Cuba, took the rough drafts and creative beautiful voice and music arrangements. In addition, she set to music the poem "Fuga" (escape) from my grandmother, Margarita Gamboa, which we gave the title "Tras de una caricia".
After many months of work, Ana Maria flew to Colombia with her friend, singer Matilde Esther Lopez. Esther, in addition to singing with Ana, she assists her, since Ana, legally blind, finds it difficult to travel by herself.
In Cali Italian musician Massimiliano Agelao, worked with Ana and Esther. Massimiliano, with his musical creativity, his energy and dynamism and his ability to blend the classic and the modern teamed up with them to create amazing songs, When the songs were ready, it was my time to record the verses that we had chosen to be recited. Again Massimiliano directed me and after hours of repetitions the time had come for the album to be finalized.
Unfortunately, this beautiful work has not been able to be performed live by political difficulties out of our control.

La mayor铆a de los poemas presentados en este CD han sido musicalizados por otros compositores y me inspir茅 en estas musicalizaciones para trabajar los textos, restaurando la integridad del poema en algunos casos. Luego, en 2003, me puse en contacto con la compositora y cantante cubana Ana Mar铆a Garc铆a, que trabajando en Cuba, tom贸 las ideas que le present茅 y les hizo a los poemas los primeros arreglos musicales, con su arte, su magia, su toque personal. Adem谩s, musicaliz贸 el poema "Fuga" de mi abuela, Margarita Gamboa, tema que titulamos "Tras una caricia...".
Nos tom贸 varios meses hasta que terminamos, con Ana Mar铆a, esta etapa de preparaci贸n. Ana vol贸 a Colombia acompa帽ada de su amiga, la cantante Esther Matilde L贸pez. Esther, adem谩s de hacerle los coros a Ana, la asiste, ya que Ana, como invidente, se le dificultaba viajar sola.
En Cali las esperaba el m煤sico italiano Maximiliano Agelao, quien trabaj贸 con ellas en la interpretaci贸n de los temas adem谩s de montar las piezas musicales, los coros, las pistas, etc. En el estudio de grabaci贸n, Massimiliano le dio a este trabajo su energ铆a, su dinamismo, su capacidad de integrar lo cl谩sico y lo moderno, de explorar ritmos, de trabajar las voces y tonalidades. Al final, trabajamos la recitaci贸n de textos para terminar esta bella obra que no ha sido posible presentar en concierto por dificultades pol铆ticas "inter-americanas".
