Details:
This rare recording captures the unique style of playing of the Belgian pianist Nadine Deletaille.

Pupil of Marcel Maes and Eduardo Del Pueyo in Brussels and of Edwine Behre in New York, special prize of the Behre Piano Associates, touring from Vermont to Texas and in Belgium for the Jeunesses Musicales, Nadine Deletaille didn''t specialize in any repertoire but has been often asked to perform Schubert, Debussy and Bach, the latter by playing every months for 10 years the continuo part on harpsichord for the Bach cantatas at the "Chapelle des Minimes" in Brussels.

She also created a Bach Festival, a Mozart Festival, and founded the "Centre Musical Font''Neuve" in Montauroux, Var (France), a music Summer course in which she remained active during 30 years.

Connecting music and life, instrument and body, philosophy and music, has been a central element of her life. In this regard, she created the "Resonance" interdisciplinary workshop with Jean Grauwels (for 20 years) joined later by Michel Cautaerts (for 5 years).

Member of the Rudolf Steiner Anthroposophical Society, founding member of TETRA (transdisiplinary eruropeen training in research and anthropology) with Jean-Yves Leloup, Claire de Crayencourt and Dominique Thommen, she is also Member of the CIT ("Collège International des Thérapeutes" in the spirit of Philo of Alexandria).

Nadine Deletaille interpretation of the Goldberg Variations can be linked with this interest in connecting spirituality and music. This Bach famous masterwork is known for its complex and rigid structure and yet, the music is of the most divine quality and is built on "human" rythms as well such as the gigue dance and it even allows humour! (Quodlibet)

This recording was made in Landen, Belgium, during the Summer 2007.
