"New" is Jo Z''s debut album. She started to learn to play her keyboard on November 7th, 2008. She remembers this date clearly because, believe or not, she taught herself to play two-handed in one day! After two weeks she composed her first piece "New." "New" appears here in its original form. For the next year she practiced her keyboard skills learning to play others'' music. In December of 2009 she composed "Escape" trying to create something up tempo. Then, right before New Year Eve, she became very homesick. She wanted to create something melancholic and to call it "Homesick", but the melody didn''t want to become melancholic, so "Coming Home" it is. "Ode to Love" was finished in January of 2010 and has influences of amazing music by Erik Satie. At first Jo Z composed it as Hymn To Love, but after her family''s feedback she renamed it to "Ode To Love". In January of 2010 also were composed "Deep" and "Life", both are very melodic and deep pieces that shows how different Jo Z''s music can be. Like any album, this is a way station, a point between what came before and what comes next. She hopes her listeners enjoy this place and these pieces.
