The Deltamatics are back!
For Hold Your Mouth Right, the Mississippi boys headed down the road to New Orleans and recorded at the famous Piety Street Studios with producer/engineer Mark Bingham. The CD was recorded and mixed in a 4 day burst of energy from Mark & the band. Six south Mississippi guest musicians appear on this record, notably Sam Bruton on Piano and Hammond B3 & Chris Werle - Trombonist from Tommie T-Bone Pruitt & the Rhythm Rockers.
The Delts hit hard on this one with some powerful high energy slide blues, a slow blues number featuring haunting lap steel, tasty southern blues N roots rock, and of course, some surprises are in store from these guys - taking you into the latin and blue funk sides of life on a couple of numbers. The down home title track and the taboo Stinkeye bring back the Honest Grit and Twisted Humor folks know and love from this band.
