Now or Never is a result of the love of New Orleans music and musicians by the members of the Dave Holt Band. The CD encompasses jazz, Dixieland, funk and funeral parade music. All the songs on Now or Never are either written by a New Orleans musician or about New Orleans or another part of the Gulf Coast. The band felt an urgency to begin recording this music after hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated much of the Gulf Coast. This urgency led to the title, Now or Never. The CD is dedicated to all the musicians of New Orleans, past, present and future. $3.00 from the sale of every CD purchased will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity’s St. Bernard Parish Recovery Project (https://www.tradebit.com St. Bernard Parish remains one of the most devastated communities in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. St. Bernard Parish, located to the south east of New Orleans, suffered significant structural damage to 100% of it’s residential and commercial units. The citizens of St. Bernard Parish need our help in order to recover, and time is running out. As of August 14, 2006 1660 homes have been cleaned of debris.
