Stripped down to just piano and voice, Daisy''s songs weigh heavy with a haunting beauty and romantic intensity. With a voice that ranges from a whisper to a "herculean howl", debut EP ''Hymns of Blame'' centres round themes of religious failings and love''s frailty.

Daisy was asked to play the Acoustic Music Festival at The Folkhouse in Bristol, UK where "she filled the hall with her cathartic hymns of blame" - hence the name of the EP. This was followed by a UK tour with her band (Scarlatti Tilt) to promote their new EP ''One Under''. However, upon returning from the tour Daisy decided it was time to bring things down to a bare minimum as she had done at the Acoustic Festival. So just a month after the tour, she entered the studio and recorded the EP in just one day. One of the songs - The Joy of Love - was completed only the week before.

With the starkness of Greg Simmons'' lyrics, these songs are far from gentle ballads, but instead are tales of dark hearts told through Daisy''s passionate voice which brings goosebumps to the skin.
