Dj Mesta:
World reknown HipHop/R&B/Dancehall club/radio specialist, DJ Mesta is also responsible for breaking the Reggaeton music trend in Italy where he now lives and spins.
Born in Torino, Italy Dj Mesta began his music career at the age of 12 breakdancing and bodypopping. By 1989 he was a Dj, his Djing included clubs and mixtapes, in fact he pioneered the mixtape in Italy.
As his reputation grew he started promoting Hip Hop and R''nB
club nights throughout his country. The Italian music scene begun to appear small, so in 1993 he moved to London.
His talents as a Dj were quickly recognised and he was soon Djing for the UK Hip Hop group Bloodhoundz (Da Rezidenz). He then set up Money Game Entertainment, while working as a freelance record distributor and promoting records or looking after acts for Hardzone Promotions.
Spinning at gigs across London Mesta teamed-up with top Hip Hop Djs like Kofi (DMC UK champ) and Shortee Blitz (Kiss fm/Rawkus).
He opened nights for established international acts such us The Roots,
Djing alongside Jazzie B (Soul II Soul) and Derek B.
He established himself as a major UK tape-master and was soon selling mixtapes and Djing throughout Europe.
In 1997 Dj Mesta started a HNC course in Radio Production and Broadcasting which enabled him to think seriously about a career in broadcasting. Shortly after starting the course he began working for the Italian radio station Station One as UK correspondent. He also had a mix-show on Bristol station Passion fm and London Unique fm, while writing for AL, Italy''s number one Hip Hop magazine and freelancing for various publications such as Echoes, the world’s largest black music weekly.
Tired of being based outside Italy, around 1998 Dj Mesta decided to strengthen the connection with his native country by booking tours for UK acts such as 57th Dynasty, promoting records and, of course, Djing. By the end of 1999 came the final decision: he decided to move back home with the ambition of becoming the top Italian connection for Urban music world-wide.
After managing Palazium - a night club based in Torino with a capacity of 500 - and promoting live PA''s featuring US Hip Hop pioneers like Doug E Fresh and Masta Ace, Dj Mesta has launched the Money Game Record Pool and now heads digital distribution service https://www.tradebit.com leading a new trend in the music biz.
Come 2006, Mesta is "killing" Italy''s clubland Djing all-over the country, doing no less than 3 clubs per week with growing residencies in Torino.
He is still busy on the international club scene landing gigs so far as the Amman, Jordan where he djed this past February. Among the many legendary European parties, Mesta djed in @ the official Midem 2003 Urban party (Cannes, France) in honor of Rocafella''s Jay Z and ending up spinning records for rapper Coolio. Mesta also teamed up with Italian rapper Rawl MC to launch the Freestyle Arena tour, the 1st ever freestyle rap contest touching down Italy''s 20 regions.
Dj Mesta is currently producing & hosting Full Blast - a daily Hip Hop/RnB/Dancehall & Reggaeton specialist radio show broadcasting Monday to Friday on Radio Flash 97.6 Torino, Italy.
Full Blast features all new, upfront and exclusive material to an audience of mainly students as well as providing a unique interaction & sinergy with the music industry worldwide. Full Blast led to the Full Blast Mixshow, another radio show entirely mixed. Broadcasting first on Hitchannel and now on RTL TV 102.5 - the Full Blast mixshow is also syndacated worldwide.

Born Scott Whitfield in Flushing, New York, Young Azzie was the younger of his mother''s two boys. Young Azzie''s brother took on the responsibility of being the male role model in the house. Being 10 years older then Young Azzie he did everything he could to mold Young Azzie into a man that would be aware of his environment and the changes that were needed to revitalize it. The vehicle was Hip Hop. Mesmerized and transfixed by the highly melodic style of music, Young Azzie developed a knack for putting words together and expressing his ideas.
At the pre-ripe and youthful age of 9 years old, he completed his first song. Young Azzie''s mother worked long days to provide for her family and instilled a work ethic; a motivation in her sons to survive the quoted ghetto, the struggle! Following the example set by his brother, Young Azzie began doing odd jobs around the neighborhood as he watched his mother struggle to insure that her boys had a fair chance in life. Sadly however, "In the ghetto every one has to grow up fast." and Young Azzie found this out first hand when in 1996 his brother was stolen from his family by a street tragedy. That day Young Azzie became a man. That day he made the choice to be upright, unflinching, and to stand with conviction. He made the decision to be the example for others that his brother was to him. Realizing that he had to make things better for his mother Young Azzie, became even more determined to make his music known and appreciated.
Thus, after years of hard work and dedication, Young Azzie slowly began to let his style of flow be known. Performing in local clubs, talent shows, and other small venues, he started to build a name for himself. His fan base really began to expand however, when he hooked up with talent executive, Mdot Carter (CEO - Triple F Unlimited) who introduced Young Azzie to the underground world of "Mix Tapes" and Hip Hop Battles, the doors started to open for Young Azzie. Traveling as far as Las Vegas and San Diego with Carter and Triple F, Young Azzie realized that his infectious sound is indeed a forced to be dealt with. He lets his songs speak on his pain, his struggle, his environment.
