Details:
"In an age that is not our own, a young boy lives a life of peace amongst his brethren in quaint Neutral Town. Little does he know that tragedy has already struck as he sleeps. Many important decisions lie ahead, and a young boy will become a man in the process. Beyond the gates of his humble life exist two mighty civilizations flying under opposing flags. They are dueling for the ultimate power: the means to emplace the order that they so choose. Atebite will have to make a decision. Will he choose Plaid, or Argyle? Which will you choose? Press Start."

disasterPEACE is the brainchild of Rich Vreeland, a musician hailing from Staten Island, NY. Some things that enthusiasts of his work have said about disasterPEACE:

"Rich, you''re a genius. NOTHING. NOTHING sounds like this."

"Went to bed one night with these tunes playing through some headphones so I could really listen. I''m pretty sure I fell asleep with a smile on my face."

"All I can say is wow. Your blazing a new trail in the world of music. Your command of this new music form, that you have created, is God given. Not everyone can tell stories within the music, not everyone can captivate and hold interest like you have."

"As soon as the intro surfaced with a repetition of a small bit of waves and sounds to create the short piece that opens everything up...i was immediately in awe...it just kept building and building until everything became this large array and atmosphere 8-bit music that gave me this uncontrollable feeling where i couldn''t do anything else but VIBE...very profound and amazing work indeed! and very intelligent at that..."

"You are the Bach of our time."

"Don''t ever let anyone tell you that your music is all math noise and patterns because it''s all catchy, man."

"Aw dude, the harmonies, the changes, the form, all of it. it throws all this random stuff at you and your ear is like, "buh??" but the way you handle the flow of the song makes it sound normal and familiar and it buries itself deep in the memory. then, as if that wasn''t enough of an accomplishment, it turns into variations and just destroys the brain. it''s freaking genius."

"I imagine your music as cubist figure painting. There''s beauty in the shapes and lines and abstract forms, but when you look closer for the patterns, the whole thing comes alive and you see things that are even better."

Rich currently attends the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
