HISTORY
Demonic Resurrection was born from the solo efforts of The Demonstealer. Once the right musicians were found his vision of Demonic Resurrection was brought to life. After 2 long years, 1album and over 12 line-up changes DR’s future looked grim. The band lost all original members except the Demonstealer. Finally in January 2003 the band was resurrected with a new line up and a whole new sound and set-list. With the new and improved lineup DR has found its own sound and the future never looked brighter. The bands music cannot be classified into any particular genre. The style encompasses all varies genres of metal mainly focusing on the melody of power metal with the aggression of death metal with few traces of ‘black metal’ and ‘thrash metal’. This style they call “Demonic Metal”.

• The band has come a long way since it started in March 2000 as they released they debut album "DEMONSTEALER" in Nov 2000 just 9months after they formed. The album was well received all over. The album was later re-recorded during July & August 2001 and released in a much more presentable manner and with improved recording quality.
• Two songs from Demonic Resurrections debut album DEMONSTEALER were aired on Rock Bottom Hour on FM Radio.
• DR also became the 1st Indian band to be covered by an international artist when Jangli Jagga of Pakistan covered their song "DEMONIC RESURRECTION". Since then Demonic Resurrection has been covered frequently by local and international acts like Threinody(Bangalore),Xenon(Bombay),Kinky Ski Monkeys(Bombay),Caffine Messiah(USA) and Citation(USA).
• DR has been mentioned in the local papers several times and also been featured in Rock Street Journal, Chip, JLT & JAM Magazines.
• Demonic Resurrections album was also aired on Toepay FM Radio-Station 97.4 FM in Yogyakarta in Indonesia. The album got a very good response and their song "Darkened Moon" has been requested frequently by listeners.
• DR has had their songs on the top of the https://www.tradebit.com music charts numerous times.
• DR''s song The Creatures Of Ancient Blood has been featured on DEEPTHROAT, which is a compilation CD released, by Throatlatch records.
• Demonic Resurrections album has been on The Unearthing Show on Zwarp Radio in U.S.A.
• DR has been interviewed for Zines all over the world in Chile,Brazil,Thailand,Russia and Italy.
• DR’s album has been distributed by Sacred Productions from Malaysia and their album has been sold in tape format in record shops across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia.
• DR''s song "From The Ashes" and cover of Madonna’s “Frozen” has been featured on 2 compilations by Maelstrom 666 and also their song "Sick" has been featured on a compilation CD by Cadaverized Zine.
• DR has also signed a deal endorsing Green Goblin Metal t-shirts.
• DR has also been featured in a French Magazine called Metallian.
• DR has also been interviewed live by Dj Alisha on 104.4 Resonance Radio in London and had 2 of their tracks aired on the show called “Mp3 Treasure Chest”.
• DR has been featured on a local compilation called ‘Resurrection’ released by Barcode Entertainment.
• RJ Mihir interviewed DR live on All India Radio 107.1 Rainbow Fm. Their song ‘Frozen Portrait’ was also aired.
• DR is being featured on channel V’s Launchpad where they made it to the final round.
• DR also was short listed from 200 odd bands with 11 others to feature on the Great Indian Rock Compilation 2005.
• DR entered and won the NSIT College Battle of the bands as well as the Rock band contest at RAIT College in quick succession. JP won best drummer at both events. Demonstealer won best vocalist at NSIT.
• DR entered and won the RAIT College Horizons battle of the bands where JP once again won best drummer.
• DR released their 2nd album called ‘A Darkness Descends’ on 29th October 2005 at Resurrection IV. The album has 12 killer tracks and detailed artwork. It also features talents of guest musicians like Warren Mendonsa (Zero), Prashant (Exhumation), Kanika, Pervez and Nimit.
• Interviewed on All India Radio 107.1 by RJ Mihir and Apocalyptic Dawn from the album was aired. Also Where Shadows Lie and Spirits Of The Mystic Mountains was aired the following weeks.
• DR was artist of the fortnight (18th Nov 2005) at the local music shop ‘Furtado & Sons’ where their album is available on the ‘Support The Music’ rack made specially for Indian Artists.
• DR won 2nd place at National Law Schools annual rock competition ‘Strawberry Fields 2005’ in Bangalore. Mephisto also won best keyboardist at the event.
