LADY PEACHENA FINALLY RELEASES CHILDREN''S PROJECT
Next month, Gospel psalmist, Lady Peachena, will officially release her children''s cd, ''I AM SOMEBODY," that she recorded fifteen years ago with her choir, NEW YORK''S YOUTH SUNSHINE CHOIR live at the Institutional Church of God in Christ in Brooklyn, New York.
The original members of NEW YORK''S YOUTH SUNSHINE CHOIR ranged in ages 3 to 16, and they all could sing very well.
Recording live can be a very tedious process, but in spite of the summer heat and a ton of pressure, Lady P. somehow, pulled it off.
However, she didn''t really have a budget to produce many cassettes, so she only had 500 cassettes pressed up, and they quickly sold out because of strong word of mouth. The songs were hot! Over the years many people who had bought the music would come back to tell how much those songs meant to them and to their children. And, since Lady Peachena is a certified New York City Public School teacher, she continued to teach her students these songs
wherever she taught.
Now, fifteen years later, Lady Peachena feels that this is the right time to release these positively, energizing songs to the public. Most importantly, she believe these self-esteem boosting songs on "I AM SOMEBODY," should become national anthems.
"They should be heard, and sung by children all over the world. Just hearing these nurturing message songs will motivate children everywhere to love themselves, respect the rights of others, and to succeed in school, " states Lady Peachena.
Stand-out songs are "I''VE GOT IT, I''VE GOT THE POWER," title-cut, "I AM SOMEBODY," "DO THE RIGHT THING!," and "HAVE A HEART(SHOW SOME LOVE)." Yet, all of these have uplifting messages for kids, and all are very catchy, upbeat songs that are very easy to learn and sing along to.
