Yes, it is Better Late Than Never, a quick blast into the past - a truly unique solo effort made on a truly shoestring budget.
It all started in a walk-in closet by the shores of Venice, California in October of 2005 and ended up in that very same closet February 2006. The record that emerged was soon mastered to analog tape to sound as if it came out of the vaults - some 60''s band you never heard before, but strangely familiar (sorry, Ringo).
The album was entirely written, sung, played and mixed by Jamie Laboz, a TV & film composer of sorts... and with the help of old friend and NYC drummer, Marc Slutsky, and the advent of email, the two recorded together cross-country, giving the record a truly live feel.
There''s even a vocal guest appearance by Cristina Williams on two tracks ("As Long As" and "Free My Mind").
If you''re into the 60''s or just completely stoned outta your freakin'' gourd - then check this record out! It''ll put a smile on your face, a bounce in your step and leave some change in your pocket for munchies. It comes in a nifty, trippy plastic 45-style sleeve to boot!
