This CD is dedicated in loving memory of my Dad, Bob Burgess and my sister, Pam Burgess who both went to be with the Lord on July 6th of 1983.
Hi! This is Lisa Ann! Thanks for checking out my link to CD Baby! I must say that I started writing my bio in a formal manner, in the second person. But I didn''t do so mainly because I felt it strange and almost seemingly conceited to be writing about myself. But how else do we get to know each other? With that in mind, feel free to email me thru our band''s website, so that I/we can get to know you, too.
On a more serious note(I love a good pun) , I do want to let you know why I created this CD (mainly for your enjoyment, hopefully). And I want to give some details to you on just who was involved in its creation. By the way, this is my first cd of original music (all but one song). The one song that isn''t an original was made famous by Patsy Cline. I''m sure that you know of her! Wasn''t she amazing?! And her songs are timeless!

In addition to using the talents of the members of Sound Venture, I was thrilled to have Kenny Lovelace (one of the worlds'' top 10 guitar players) record on our CD. Kenny played guitar and fiddle, wrote a few of the songs, and sang a duet with me on this CD(last track). Kenny was and still is Jerry Lee Lewis'' band leader and guitar player. He is not only an awesome musician with lots of history (played with so many greats, besides himself, such as: Keith Richards, Elvis, Van Morrison, Little Richard, the list goes on); but more importantly he is the sweetest man you''d want to meet and he''s great to work with musically, to boot!
Instead of recording the CD in Nashville, which is THE thing to do, we flew Kenny in from Nashville and recorded in the Green Room of Harrisburg, PA with producer, Bob Welsh; as well as Songcrafters Studio in Beaver Springs, PA (https://www.tradebit.com ) with producer, Skip Cline. What made the studios especially great were the producers'' technical as well as artistic creativity.
Our band members have individually and collectively entertained in various locales. I had the privilege to perform at the Country Music Hall of Fame Awards Pre-Show in Carthage, Texas; the Opryland Hotel in Nashville; the 1992 Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C.; and got to open before Jerry Lee Lewis at the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival for an audience of over 15,000 in May of 2002(that was Kenny''s doing). Including myself, Sound Venture consists of five musicians. Vocalist and guitar player, Mike Barnes has performed since his teenage years for endless venues. Dan Nornhold had made a living on the road for years playing keyboard. Bass guitar player, Russ Nicrone has over three decades of experience, including given a record label in 1967 with Roulette Records. Monty Graham has toured as a drummer professionally for many years past as well, performing for various well-known artists, such as: the Doobie Brothers, Natalie Cole, Mighty Joe Young, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. Our band most recently played at the American Music Fest in Harrisburg, PA showcasing the originals from this CD. The local cable network WHBG is still airing the show.

I live in a small, sweet town in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania with my hubby, John(my high school sweetheart). We just had a blessed baby girl, born in February of 2003.
I also have a personal fitness training and nutrition consulting business, which is very part-time these days. In addition, I''m a spokesperson for Ford Motor Company(specifically Maguires Ford of Hershey and Duncannon), performing tv and radio spots. I sing on the music worship team at Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, PA (https://www.tradebit.com).
What''s most important to me is my personal relationship with the Lord, my relationship with my husband, and my daughter, family and friends. In regards to music, I want to make the listening audience whom I feel that I am serving(that''s YOU!) feel blessed.
