LifeTyme Productions and Recording Studio’s based in Seattle-Tacoma, Washington. It is a Hip Hop R&B with a touch of soul driven Production Company. The CEO of the label is Lee Gore a.k.a. LifeTyme. He is a one of a kind versatile producer producing from West Coast, East Coast, down to the Dirty Dirty and even the soft sounds of R&B. He say’s “he likes to combine his styles and make his own type of style that everybody can listen to for a lifetime.”
LifeTyme is currently serving his country proudly in the hot but dangerous land of Iraq. He has been in the Army for 10 years. He say’s that “making and producing music on his free time while in Iraq takes his mind off of things and put his mind at ease.” This time around since he has already been in country for a second tour, he wanted to put together a group of talented young Soldiers who loves to make music. So he decided to put together Soldiers in Iraq Compilation Album Mixtape 2006. The concept is simple, even with all the mission’s that these Soldiers do on a daily basis, they still find the time to write, sing or rap, and record on their free time. Recorded straight out of a 2 man trailer, the sounds are unbelievable. You wouldn’t think that these Soldiers recorded out there in Iraq, but they did.
The LifeTyme Fam. is made of 5 gifted and talented Soldiers. Los from Detroit has the sounds of Midwest to east coast feel, Marc Wayne from Alabama has the dirty south grind, Raw Cash and Klas Sick are both from the U.S. Virgin Islands which they both have their own unique style of Rap/Reggae touch, and the soulful R&B sounds of Toya J. the only female singer in the group. She is from the U.S. Virgin Islands also that has a voice that you can just listen to all night long. “Everybody on the project writes their own material with collaboration from other members within the group, then that way they can feel their own music more.” Even though LifeTyme sings, writes, and produces, he rather produce and make the music. He rather be the behind the scenes then in the scene. You can be sure that you will see and hear more of these talented artists from LifeTyme Productions. Check them out!
