These are the two songs of Bruce''s that everyone tells him are their favorites. That''s reason enough to put them together on a CD with nothing else. After all, most of the time you buy a CD for one or two good songs on it and the rest is just filler. This is the good stuff without the filler.
If you''re familiar with Bruce''s work with Buddha''s Revenge or The Wooden Boogers you may be startled by the sweetness and innocence of these two tracks. Bruce makes no apologies for this. He doesn''t believe in artistic limitations, in fact, at the urging of his son and frequent collaborator Eric, he will be releasing a dark pop record that already exists entitled THE LOST RECORDINGS.
"Anyway", is used in the sound track to the short film "Victor''s Out of the Office" which includes alot of music by Bruce and his band Buddha''s Revenge.
"Without Your Smile" was passed around the internet in the pre-mp3 days as a wav file. At that time it was known as "Tara''s Smile" because a lot of folks connected it to Tara Lipinski and her infectious smile. This was just after her gold medal success in the winter Olympics.
