A bit about the songs:
Apartment A is about a girlfriend/boyfriend leaving without a goodbye, taking nothing but a backpack full of clothes. The rejected is left with all the possessions they acquired together as a constant, agonizing reminder of their relationship.
Ultra Modern tackles the absurd idea of preserving ones self through artificial and surgical means. To some, the idea of growing old is impossible to accept.
Scene Kid is about the ever-evolving sense of individuality that, at one point in time, everyone feels. You get so caught up in what’s “scene” that you become scene yourself–and ultimately, forget who you really are.
Girl That Smiled Roses is a common tale of the love lorn. A unique, beautiful woman, who dwells on childhood dreams of “happily ever after”, searches the face of the earth for love only to find that she is doomed to die alone.
Sunday is about a woman addicted to sex. Every weekend she brings home a different man–and each Sunday, she wakes to find him gone. Reeking of smoke, liquor and cursed with a crippling hangover, she longs to break free of her addiction.
Space Toys is a 5 track EP, as well as an Enhanced CD, containing individual bios, lyrics, photos and more.
Some people ask "What does Space Toys mean?" Well, the answer is actually quite complicated. Space Toys is a metaphor for how people''s opinions of fashion and pop culture change the instant something new comes out. Just like how, in the 50s, Sputnik launched and kids instantly began purchasing Space Toys instead of the cute little cowboy toys they''d loved for years. (The prospector was furious) How "people" in the broad sense are actually pretty lame.
