Fred Groce:

DREAMS was conceptualized through the inspiration of change and willingness to let go of past memories. Inspired by guitarists Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Alex de Grassi and the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, I have strived to create my own style over the last 30 years.

Many of these selections were performed with alternate tunings and were recorded utilizing a SONY VAIO system, MOTU 828 audio interface, and SONAR software. My experience as a City of Indianapolis Sound Technician gave me additional confidence in mixing, editing, and producing my music. Instruments used in this project include: Martin (acoustic), Ovation (acoustic), Paul Reed Smith (electric), Gibson "Les Paul" (electric), KORG M1 synthesizer, Wurlitzer console piano with grand stringing, and various percussion instruments.

This album is dedicated to my late father, Cecil O. Groce, who always taught me to stick with it and finish what I started. I did.

Sue Helton-Groce:

As a lyricist and vocalist for this project, DREAMS has special meaning to me. With over 25 years of vocal experience (choirs, Christian folk groups, solo performances) and the desire for healing, I wrote the song "Sovereignty" in one setting. To this day, I still don''t know how I was able to write such a soulful song in one evening. Certainly, this was from above.

"Let It Go" and "Dreams" were inspired by life changes and forgiveness. These were written in understanding the importance of pursuing your passion, even if you can''t quit your day job!

All vocals are dedicated to the late Juanita Mills - the one voice teacher that taught me that rawness was sometimes more important than absolute perfection (but you still had to sing it right!).
