This wild guitarist and his band arrive with their psychedelic funk-tinted jazz. Emulating the good vibrations of P-Funk and Bootsy Collins, their music is an unusual fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds, visiting original musical landscapes with a touch of humor borrowed from Franck Zappa. These French Funkadelics" offer a surprising and festive music in acid jazz and electro funk.

The history:
When he was young Fred Hamm listenned to every diverse musics and was passionated for all kinds of musical styles. Herbie Hancock’s music, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Led Zeppelin’s Rock give him desire for learning the guitar at the age of 15 . The training of this instrument will be done through different styles like the jazz-rock with Kenny Burrell, John McLaughin and Wes Montgomery, the blues with Albert Collins and Buddy Guy, the funk with Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, Parliament and Funkadelic but also the fusion/rock with Faith No more or Red Hot Chilli Peppers...

Students of the National Music Academy of Nice (French Riviera) and studying in Musicology, he studied the jazz, the harmony, the composition and the improvisation initially with the guitarist Eric Sempé of "SYNOPSIS" then with Franck De Luca in class of jazz.

Since 1997, Fred Hamm regularly occurs on several scenes of the area in order to promote his first Cd called "7th Heaven".

In 1999 he meets Pascal Mulot( Best European Bass player of the year 2003) and records six months later with him: "Aquarius Dreams", published in December 2000 ( a jazz fusion, progressive rock and metal’s album)
Other famous musicians take part in this project such as Doudou Weiss (drummer with Johnny Hallyday and Magma and Gilles Choir who played with Toto).
Lastly, the mixing was made by the fabulous Steve Prestage, sound engineer of Peter Gabriel, Gary Moore, Black Sabbath and Gerald de Palmas.

With his group, Fred Hamm takes part in Midem of Cannes in 2001 and 2002, like with many other radio concerts and interviews.

After this adventure , Fred Hamm does not stop in so good way. He carries out various musical projects in parallel: free jazz and experimental music with the drummer Daniel Dray, electro jazz and drum bass with Dj Mid&Ric.

Following all those experiments, Fred Hamm is not any more a one simple guitarist, but a musician with multiple facets.
In September 2002, his passion for the new tendencies lead him to compose in an electro-jazz-funk style, it''s the birth of its new disc, the album "? ".

In partnership with the radios and the others medias he begun the promotion of this new album and starts to occur on scene with its group "FRED HAMM'' S ELECTRO GROOVE".

In October 2004, Fred Hamm plays in Cannes with the band "FILLET OF SOUL" an electro jazz project of DJ CAM with the trumpet player ALEXANDRE TASSEL, GUILLAUME NATURAL saxophonist, percussionist MININO GARAY, the guitarist CHRISTIAN BRUN and the bass player PHILIPPE BUSSONNET (of MAGMA).

At the time of this concert he played with the talented keyboards player LAURENT DE WILDE which agrees to take part in a jam session on "TEST".

In July 27, 2005, Fred Hamm''s Electro Groove takes part in the biggest european festival "The NICE JAZZ FESTIVAL" for the "HAPPY END"''s night (whith Calogero, Emilie Simon, Zenzile, Republic of Loose, L2W and THE FILM)

The new album entitled "?" is a fusion Electro-Funk/Acid Jazz.
Result of a meeting between several musicians of different backgrounds, this disc draws its inspirations in the new tendencies (acid jazz, electro funk...)

Fred Hamm is in the search of an original sound, a new fusion, a music which would correspond with him.

For this album Fred Hamm is surrounded by 11 accomplished musicians bringing each one a universe making it possible work to open out.

The album was partly recorded at the STUDIO MARYLIN of Cagnes sur Mer , and mixed by Cédric Pontieux and Jean Pierre Chardier.

Acoustic sonorities and electronic originalities cohabit through new sound landscapes, some strange times... ELECTRO GROOVE, ACID JAZZ, JAZZ FUNK? The music of the guitarist travels through the styles and give good vibrations .
A groove psychedelic tinted jazz and a touch of humor borrowed from FRANCK ZAPPA, a Funky feeling which are not without pointing out "FUNKADELIC" or GEORGE CLINTON.
