FOLLU GEE’S PROFILE
With his very first single getting him nomination as the best artiste in West Africa in the 2004 KORA awards, Folusho Gbenga Adeyinka A.K.A Follu Gee has gone back to the studios to compile an eight track debut album which he titles “My time has come”. The album is titled based on his belief that there is time for everything and NOW is his time to shine and prosper. His journey into music started in 1996 during his undergraduate days as a member of the Ibadan varsity Xtian Choir when he learnt how to play the Saxophone of which his first lesson was paid for by his elder brother Dele Adeyinka. In the year 2000, Follu Gee and two other guys formed a group known as Wavelength, but he later left to start a solo career such that he could express himself more on the Saxophone.
This first class honors Engineering graduate of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria who is also a banker is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the production comes out even better than his first effort. He featured Hip-Hop inspired artistes and rappers like Zdon, Mode IX, Ela-Joe, Ogyny and Freestyle in this inspirational work which blends African rhythm with Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap and some High life tunes. He basically wants to present his music in a way that it will be acceptable all over the world. One of the tracks "End of Age" was specially dedicated to the victims of plane crashes, terrorism and natural disasters all over the world. He hopes to work with great international artistes like Akon, Usher and R-Kelly and win the KORA & GRAMMY awards in the course of his music career.
