Finless Brown is a live hip hop band based in San Francisco, CA. With members hailing from Japan (Handa-Aichi), Santa Cruz (CA), Marin (CA), Philly (PA), Alameda (CA), and Cleveland (OH), Finless Brown brings a unique sound that has drawn comparisions to Portishead, the Beastie Boys, the Roots, and Dee Lite. Fronted by the husband and wife duo of Paulie Rhyme and biligual singer/emcee Moto (who sings and rhymes in English and Japanese), Finless Brown promotes having a good time, thinking alittle, and stepping outside of the box when making about music. Before being based in SF, Finless Brown was based in Cleveland, OH, where the band was featured in magazines such as the Scene, the Cleveland Free Times, and the Cleveland Magazine, as well as peforming alongside such acts as the Beatnuts, Non Phixon, Grand Agent, Heiruspecs, Killarmy (Wu Tang), Grand Buffet, and Grammy nominated Jazz legend Greg Bandy. As a result, Finless Brown was nominated for Best Local Band at https://www.tradebit.com (2003) and Best Hip Hop Band by the Cleveland Scene (2003). Finless Brown was also featured on the Crooked River Groove Band Series (Cuyahoga Community College), The Little Domain That Could Vol 1. (Domain Cleveland), Home on the Strange Vol. 1 (Strange Love), as well as recieving airplay on radio in Japan, Belgium, France, and the UK for their 2003 release, "the Browntown Ep".

Since relocating to the San Francisco area, Finless Brown has taken their brand of "politically charged party music" to the booming, and overwhelming music scene that is the Bay Area, and recieved nothing but love. Releasing their first full length project recorded in Cleveland with the original lineup, "Next Caper" (2004), and playing at various venues in the Bay, including Milk (Vibe Magazine), the Social Club, San Francisco State, and UC Hayward. Finless Brown has been featured at the 2004 LA County Fair, the Temple Bar (Santa Monica), the Sunset Room (Hollywood), Club Good Hurt (LA), and Fais Do Do (LA). "Next Caper", a 13 track funk influenced Midwest hip hop torch bearer, features production by hip hop legends Dj Lord Jazz of the Lords of the Underground and longtime Wu Tang Clan producer 4th Disciple, and has help Finless Brown reach even more people across the country and around the globe, allowing Finless Brown to embark on it first cross country tour (California, Kansas, Utah, Colorado, Iowa, and Ohio) in 2005.

Now Finless Brown is dropping its latest release, Underground Superheroes, a 5 song Ep with the current lineup of Dj Gordo Cabeza, Young Dave on drums, Evil Leo on keys, Dan Miller on bass, and the usual suspects on the mics; Moto & Paulie Rhyme. Underground Superheroes is Finless Brown at its best and most creative. Each track is woven perfectly to create a Midwest/Westcoast funk soul experience. All influences are on full cylinders as Finless Brown''s brand of "Politically Charged Party Music" is ever present and eliquently defined on this release. Enjoy...
