Details:
The Crossing band has developed it''s unique style over the years. Based on friendship and collaboration it''s members have contributed their talents to create an original groove that is distinctively theirs. Venturing into different areas from rock to pop, blues and ballads they have set no boundaries to their artistic expressions. Their early roots as an acoustical band playing small clubs in Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska sparked their interest in their first recording project "Crossing" songs from the Heart 1980. It was completed at Q&R Studios Chicago Illinois. Other published releases have included: Arizona Nights,The Siren, Billion Dollar Blues,Speed of Light, Haley''s, Do What & Dug Clark and Dirty World....Tom O''Brien

THE CROSSING A natural progression in the key of "C". Founded at Pioneer Park, Lincoln, Nebraska What would you have me say about this? We have always said it in our music. There is something here that is a coming of age. The truth is we''d been jammin'' for a long time together. Sendin'' tapes back and forth to one another. We''d rehearse a bunch of songs up, and plan our next session / get together. What makes this one so special is it marks 15 years of music together, and reflects the diversity of the singing and writing team of Scott Reich, Tom O''Brien, and Tim Halligan. This leg of "The Crossing" project started in 1993 when Scot traveled to Georgetown to meet Tom. There they laid down some basic tracks that were later to become the building blocks for this compilation of songs. At Tim''s urging, a recording session was set for April, 1995, in Chicago. There they recruited Bobby Scumaci,(keyboardist for Dave Mason''s Band) to https://www.tradebit.comtt Reich

I think it''s all about going back to our roots. Going back to where we came from musically, CSN&Y, America, Carol King, James Taylor, Jimmie Page, and Bob Dylan. Later it was the blues of Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, and Santana that most influenced us. Today there are so many badges ,name tags, labels attached to styles of music. When we started playin'' the scene was acoustically influenced. And to this day that style of music still is the most appealing to me. "I feel that this music was and always will be from the heart. Liner notes: Working on this project things went fast and furious. We took some basic ideas and ran with them. "Winds of change" - Really blossomed. I like the way it turned out. "Half a Chance" - a song that sort of haunts you. Once you''ve heard it You''ll find yourself playin'' it back in your head later in the day. Dirty World" - A little different than the way we first recorded it in 1980. Solid song, still has a strong beat..... Tim Halligan
