Songs to Sleep Too, is Riley Stalings first ever official release. Inspired by other Independent musicians like Julia Nunes; she decided against signing to any sort of organized label, in order to preserve her style. After having a falling out with the lead singer of her old band "Nevermore" she wrote her first song "Blunt" to seal the end of their friendship.
During the making of this album, Riley began to hate the "Cookie-Cutter" female-singer/song writers, and began to angle her music more towards friendships, school life, and insomnia, trying to stay away from the "catchy break up songs" that every female-singer songwriter seems to have.
