Details:
Laura Lee Styles is a true country girl raised on a small horse farm in southeast Michigan. She has a unique original sound that is very distinctive and easily recognizable. Her all original music is a blend of contemporary country mixed with soft rock accompaniments and some classic country elements. Laura Lee is a single parent who raised her son while operating a successful business. She is a mature independent woman whose songs reflect her attitude about life, love, and her many challenges. The title cut "Finally" tells the story of her life and struggles to date. "Never Means Forever", "Piece of a Man", "Almost Single", and "I''m Losing You" address different aspects of dating and breaking up over the years. Other songs reflect different facets of her talent. "Proud But Afraid" is a tribute to the men and women in our military service. It tells of the anguish and pride of their parents when the young people join and go into harm''s way. In a very different vein, "Diamonds and Pearls" is a blues genre, but still with "attitude". The most classic country song is a duet with a low bass. It''s called "Surprise". It''s about lovers who have careers in different parts of the country, trying to get together. "I''m So Grateful" is unlike any song you''ve heard, I bet. It is from the perspective of a "trophy wife". There is even a truck driver tribute song "Lifeblood of the Good Old USA". The album ends with "Almost Famous" which is a mix of attitude, dating, and frustration. Laura Lee''s maturity and life experiences in the school of hard knocks makes her music much different than many current country music "girl singers".
