He''s from Montreal, he''s from Pittsburgh, he''s from wherever he''s living now and he''s got a desperate desire to be English. With influences like U2 and Ryan Adams, Cameron''s music is comfortably familiar yet uniquely his own.
With the release of his debut album Shades of London, this emerging singer songwriter is beginning to make waves. Produced by Cameron Lister and recorded at Mix One Studios (https://www.tradebit.com) in Boston (as well as Cameron''s living room) by Ted Paduck, and mixed by the incredibly talented Hun Min Park, Shades is a powerfully eclectic beginning.
"I didn''t want to restrain myself," says Cameron. "There''s definitely a common thread through each song but I think if you listen from front to back the album travels a wide spectrum." Songs like "Waiting," "Desperate," and "Table for One" deal with Cameron''s greatest theme; unrequited love while "Easy to Love," and "Bottle of Jack" are more self examining than most of the other tracks.
The 22 year old isn''t stopping there though. With plans for another six tracks to be recorded and released by June 2006, as well as numerous live shows around Boston and New England with his band, fans and listeners have a lot to look forward to.
"Shades has just energized me. I am writing more, I want to play, produce, record more and I feel like I have found the direction I want to head for now. Shades has been a great springboard for me."
